🥳THEME EVENINGS ARE BACK AT TIBBIE’S! 🥳

Did you know that Allan helped build a school in Rwanda? 🇷🇼❤️

And did you know that Ewa has travelled to Zanzibar and recently discovered a fantastic Ethiopian restaurant in Edinburgh?

Well... all of that has inspired our next Themed Evening Event! 🌍🍽️ For one special evening, Tibbie’s will be transformed into a colourful, aromatic celebration of African flavours (mafe, doro wat served on injera, puff puff and more!) 👍

Think Senegal 🇸🇳, Ghana 🇬🇭, Ethiopia 🇪🇹, Rwanda 🇷🇼 and Tanzania 🇹🇿.

🎉 We're reopening today! 🎉

I had the most amazing trip to Kraków, and as you can probably guess... I was saying "yes, please!" every time another plate of pierogi, kotlety, bigos or gołąbki landed in front of me. 😄

I also couldn't leave without having a kremówka at my favourite spot, Czarodziej, and some incredible pierogi at Marchewka z Groszkiem. Other places I'd highly recommend are Franca, PIEC, Prowincja, Gałki and Dzikie Wino.

No wonder I've come back with an extra 5 kg (sadly, that's not a joke! 😂), but I regret absolutely nothing 😄

Looking forward to opening Tibbie's today and I can't wait to see you all again! ❤️

And if you're planning a trip to Kraków anytime soon, make sure you ask me for my "where to eat" recommendations - I'd be more than happy to share my favourites! 🇵🇱🍽️

I heard a calling... 🇵🇱 It said: "Ewa, never forget where you're from... and keep eating pierogi!" 🤣🥟❤️

So here I am, packing my little suitcase and getting ready to board the plane that will take me back to my birthplace - Kraków. 🇵🇱

My week-long trip will be filled with all the delicious comforts of home: pierogi, gołąbki, żurek, kotlety, smalec, kompot, kremówki and pączki 😊

That means Tibbie's will be taking a little break too. We'll be closed this week and reopen on Thursday, 16/07. See you all soon! Do zobaczenia! 🇵🇱✈️❤️

We're back from our holidays and ready to serve all your favourites including this beautiful steak and caramelised onion ciabatta with raclette 🤩👏🥳 Allan's cheesecake this week is lemon 🍋 and our huge, delicious, chewy meringues will be ready when we open at 12 ♥️ Looking forward to seeing you all!

This week I'm exploring the flavours of Central Asia and sampling some delicious Kyrgyz specialities including beshbarmak, manty, lagman and freshly baked samsa. 🇰🇬♥️

Meanwhile, Allan will be soaking up the sunshine while enjoying plenty of pastéis de nata, chicken piri-piri, and other Portuguese favourites. ☀️🇵🇹

As a result, Tibbie's will be closed for one week while we recharge our batteries and gather a little culinary inspiration from our travels.

We will reopen on Thursday 25th June and look forward to seeing you all then! ♥️

My little girl is not feeling well and we decided to close early today 😞 Fingers crossed Gaia feels better soon.

We hope to see you all next week! Apart from our usual opening times we will also open on Wednesday evening (Ladies Night).

Tibbie's will be closed this week as we're both heading off on holiday! 🌍✈️ Allan will be off to Germany 🇩🇪 while I'm making my way to Morocco 🇲🇦

When we reopen on the 23rd, you can expect plenty of food chat and inspiration from our travels - think pretzels, sausages, harira and tagine! 😍

I'll be travelling back with a suitcase full of olives, herbs and spices ready for our sold out Moroccan themed evening event on the 25th 💛✨

We can’t wait to see you all when we’re back! 💛

Running a restaurant is a serious responsibility. People think it's all glamour, but behind the scenes? Relentless quality control. Tireless dedication. Personal sacrifice.

Take last week, for example:

We made 60 pierogi. SIXTY. Naturally, we had to ensure they met our standards... so we each tried one. They were incredible. Suspiciously incredible. Further investigation was clearly required. Long story short, around 20 mysteriously disappeared in the name of excellence 😁

Then there are the homemade meringues. Sitting there. Innocently. Whispering to us every time we walk past. It would be irresponsible not to keep checking their texture, right? Consistency is everything. 🤣

We're also nurturing an avocado seed like it’s a member of staff. Big dreams. Strong roots. One day: a tree. For now: a slightly judgmental pit in a glass of water that we check on more often than emails. 🥑

And let's not forget the wine list. A carefully curated selection... that absolutely must be tested. Regularly. Thoroughly. With cheese 🧀 For quality assurance purposes only, obviously. 🍷

It’s a tough job. But someone has to do it. 😁 We love it 😍

We challenged ourselves to make meringues... and guess what? It worked! 🙌

Crisp on the outside, beautifully chewy in the centre. 😍 Filled with freshly whipped cream and topped with juicy berries 🍓 Flavours? We're thinking vanilla 💛, chocolate 🍫, raspberry 🍧 or lemon 🍋. And best of all... our meringues are just like our love for food (and our tummies) - they're very BIG! 😁

Our baked cheesecake, comforting apple pie, and now our perfectly crisp-on-the-outside, chewy-in-the-middle meringues... they're all home made and we can't tell you which one is the best. The only way to decide is to try them all 🤣 ❤

Join us for a delicious Korean-themed evening this Saturday, March 14th at 7pm 🇰🇷

We’ll be serving a variety of homemade Korean favourites including kimchi, gimbap, japchae, tteokbokki, and plenty more exciting dishes packed with flavour. Expect a night full of amazing food, great company and a few fun surprises along the way 🥳

And yes... we’re also working on the entertainment side of things 🤣 👀
