☀️ 5 Things Every Golfer Should Remember in This Heat ⛳🌡️
The course is looking absolutely fantastic, but with temperatures soaring, looking after yourself is just as important as looking after your score!
1️⃣ Drink before you’re thirsty 💧Take plenty of water and sip regularly throughout your round. If you wait until you’re thirsty, you’re already becoming dehydrated.
2️⃣ Protect yourself from the sun 🧢🕶️Wear a hat, sunglasses and don’t forget the sunscreen. Four hours on the course is a long time in direct sunshine.
3️⃣ Keep your energy up 🍌🥜A banana, cereal bar or a handful of nuts can make all the difference on the back nine.
4️⃣ keep pace but know when to slow down 🚶♂️It’s not the day to rush between shots. Play at a sensible pace, take advantage of any shade, and if someone in your group starts feeling dizzy or unwell, stop immediately.
5️⃣ Finish with a cold drink! 🍺🥤Whether it’s an ice-cold pint, a refreshing soft drink or a bite to eat, take time to cool down afterwards in the beer garden or in the shade of the gazebo. You’ve earned it!
🌞 Please share this with your golfing friends. A great round of golf starts with staying safe.
See you on the course…and remember, the best score of the day is getting home safely.
