Sun shines bright on Saturday morn,
To Wasdale we're going, a new day is born.
With packs on our backs and boots laced up tight,
To climb fells named Wainwright, a wonderful sight.
The valley unfolds, green and so grand,
A gentle climb upwards, across the land.
The air is so fresh, the views spread so wide,
With clouds drifting slowly, nowhere to hide.
After our walk, tired but content,
To Gosforth Hall Inn, our journey is bent.
A welcome so warm, a friendly "hello,"
Where stories are shared and good feelings flow.
A cozy room waits, a place to unwind,
With tasty food promised, the best we can find.
From hearty main dishes to pies made with care,
And tapas to share, a feast beyond compare.
Outside, a garden, sunlit and bright,
A Mediterranean feel, a true delight.
With our dog by our side, we dine in the air,
Al fresco and happy, without a care.
Sunday arrives, the weekend takes hold,
More fells to explore, stories yet untold.
But memories made, in Wasdale so sweet,
At Gosforth Hall Inn, our rest was complete.
