Today we closed our doors for the final time 💔

To our incredible staff — thank you for believing in our vision and giving The Featherbed its heart and soul. We couldn’t have done this without you.

To our loyal regulars and everyone who supported us — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness, laughter, and familiar faces meant everything to us.

This isn’t the ending we hoped for, but we will forever cherish the memories and the community we built together.

We are very sad to announce that The Featherbed will close for good on Tuesday 30th December.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly. We are deeply upset to be having to do this, especially for Lyndsay, Toni and our wonderful team, who have given so much to the café. Sadly, the business is simply unsustainable. The sheer operational costs just to open the doors have become overwhelming, and with crippling tax rises and further wage hikes due in the new year, the situation is only set to worsen.

We know this will be a real loss to many, and that makes this even harder. The current climate has made it impossible for a huge number of hospitality businesses to survive, with government decisions placing enormous pressure on an already struggling sector.

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Featherbed — your kindness and custom have meant more than we can say. We remain open until the 30th December and we look forward to seeing alll of our regulars before we close.
