This is a post to show some love to the people and businesses that have kept us going. In 2023 Utility warehouse illegally removed our electric meter after hiking our bills to 20,000+ a month. Nearly 3 years on and we are still fighting them in court and in parliament, there is a lot we can’t say as the case is ongoing.
However if it wasn’t for the support of some great friends, local businesses, family and most importantly my wife the simple fact is we wouldn’t be here. A business built over 10 years would have vanished because of corporate greed and no government intervention.
This is not a post for sympathy but a post to make everyone aware of the battles that small business owners are fighting every day, the sleepless nights, the feeling of helplessness, paying into a system that doesn’t have your back.
So if you use any local business, choose them, spend your money with them they will most definitely be keeping that money and support in the community.
