❤️ WHAT A WEEKEND IT’S BEEN… ❤️
The Great North Run weekend has come and gone, and honestly, I don’t quite know where to start!
It was amazing, emotional, exhausting, challenging, funny… and at times completely overwhelming.
I’ll be honest — part of me was gutted about how things played out. I had my own expectations and a little picture in my head of how the day would go, but reality had other ideas!
But when I step back, the bigger picture is very different.
I DID THE RUN. I MADE IT TO THE FINISH. 🏃♀️❤️
And I’m choosing to be incredibly grateful for that.
This was never just about me. I was running for people who have faced unimaginable adversity and for a charity that means so much to me.
Sadly, two young people, just 25 years old, lost their lives during the event and never got to cross that finish line. That really puts everything into perspective.
Suddenly, my time and whether everything went to plan feel very, very small.
I finished.
I came home.
And I get to keep going. ❤️
And after 13.1 miles, there was only one thing on my mind…
FOOD! 😂
Fish and chips. Mushy peas. And, because apparently a half marathon wasn’t enough… ICE CREAM! 🍦😂
And I enjoyed every single bite!
Sometimes you just have to sit down, eat the chips, eat the ice cream and celebrate being here. ❤️
This weekend reminded me what really matters — life, the things we’ve survived, the things we’ve overcome and the moments we never thought we’d get through.
Sometimes you run.
Sometimes you crawl.
Sometimes you stop for chips and ice cream. 😂
But you keep going. ❤️
The Great North Run may be over, but my fundraising isn’t!
🎟️ I’m also running an AVON RAFFLE! 🎟️
There are some gorgeous Avon prizes up for grabs, so message me if you’d like to enter!
Every raffle entry, donation, message and bit of support means more than you realise. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. You’ve helped get me over that finish line in more ways than you know. ❤️
Here’s to surviving the hard stuff, celebrating the good stuff, and never taking the finish line for granted.
Now… where’s that ice cream gone?! 😂🍦
