Today is Armed Forces Day 🇬🇧

A day to pause, reflect and say thank you to everyone who has served, continues to serve, and supports our Armed Forces community.

Here at the Grand Hotel Scarborough, we are incredibly proud of our deep and historic connection with the military. For over 160 years, this hotel has stood proudly on the Yorkshire coast, with a story that is closely linked to those who have served our country.

During the Second World War, the hotel played its part by being used by the Royal Air Force for initial flight training, helping prepare the next generation of aircrew. That legacy remains a huge part of the history and character of this incredible building.

This week, we have had the privilege of welcoming and hosting events to celebrate and recognise the amazing people who have served, and those who continue to serve today.

The Armed Forces community represents courage, commitment and sacrifice, and we are proud to stand with you.
