Good morning fellow followers 🥰

Been busy away this morning, prepping lots of things ready for the day/week ahead.

The soup this week is sweet potato and butternut squash.

Quiche, I haven't quite decided, but I'm thinking bacon and brie... 😅

So far cake wise, we've got..

Ginger cake.
Chocolate cake.
Lemon cake.

Bacon is in the oven, sausages are all cooked and cooling, ready for the quiche and scones to go in, just before I throw the doors open for the week.. 🥰🥰

Please remember we operate as a cash only business.. after all cash is king.. we need to keep it flowing keep the currency alive 😂

We are also dog friendly.. 🐶🐶

Please note we do stop frying at 1.30 in prep for clean down 😉

Man, running a small business is tough.

My heart goes out to all of us who are struggling right now.

It's a real struggle, but we keep pushing every day, pouring our hearts and souls into making our dreams a reality.

The weight we carry can be totally overwhelming, heartbreaking, and also amazing, full of joy and sadness all at once – it's a hard balance.

Online shopping has really hit the region hard. Let's get back to the good old days, where you'd go on a day trip to new places and support local independent businesses instead of those expensive big brands.

Shop local, support independent businesses because one day it will all be gone.

This is my reality. Not a pity post!
Saturday and not one single customer so far. In fact no buying customers all week!
Time for some deep thinking, soul searching and decisions to be made 💙

Could I kindly ask the owner of this car to come and move it out of our paid designated parking spaces.

Unfortunately this is not a public parking space , as it states. And you've taken up two parking spots to which are needed.

I had a feeling 😕 feeling optimistic that we could of brought it home.. I think most of us in the UK right now are a tad disappointed in last night performance.. but we had some great games to the run up 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Please, please, please, I urge you not to walk your dogs in this heat.

The number of poor fur babies I have seen in the heat today is beyond ridiculous.

I've been doing temperature checks on the floor throughout the day, and as you can see, the floor is smoldering hot 🔥.

49° and constantly rising..

Please, please be extra vigilant. They have a fur coat they cannot take off, or flip-flops to put on their paws so the floor doesn't burn their poor pads.

We can avoid direct sunlight or grab a drink when we need to cool down; these poor doggies cannot tell us. They just keep following us because they love us, and we are supposed to show them the same love.

Please just be very careful that they don't overheat. Keep checking their paws and keep them hydrated.

This makes me so sad to see so many dogs out today 😪😪😪
