Not the best start though, as I'm currently sat in the hospital with some sausage meat stuck down my finger nail,

YES SAUSAGE MEAT DOWN MY FINGER NAIL 🥲

thats now become infected, red and swollen having managing the pain for a full 36 hours i though i better get myself checked out 😅

I Wouldn't recommend doing this 🙃

I would definitely cross my fingers and hope to keep my finger nail but I actually cannot at this time hhahaa..

Anyhow till we meet again 🤣 on the 7th September

Working in a Kitchen in This Heat ☀️🔥

The sun is shining, the weather is hot,
But working in a kitchen? Absolutely not! 😂

The ovens are roaring, the grill’s on full blast,
I’m sweating so much, I’m melting quite fast! 🫠

The pans are all steamin’,
And I’m questioning life and the choices I’m dreamin’! 😂

Customers walk in saying, “Ooh, it’s lovely today!”
Meanwhile, I’m fighting for oxygen and praying for shade. 🥵

My hair’s gone frizzy, my face is all red,
I’ve basically cooked myself along with the bread! 🍞🤣

So if your food takes a minute, please don’t complain,
I’m currently working inside my own personal flame! 🔥

One thing’s for certain, when this shift is through,
I’ll be sitting in front of a fan with a cold drink or two! 🍹😂

Kitchen life in summer… who needs a sauna?! 🤣🔥

Good morning all..

I had a little spare time on my hands this morning so I though I would share with you my beautiful view 😍

who doesn't love the sound of the waves crashing against each other, I find it so relaxing 😊

No seagulls squawking just the sound of the waves... pure tranquility right here 🙃

Anyhow back at it, I'm just about to bake of some fruit and cheese scones and another quiche (Lorraine) ready for the day ahead 🥰

We've had a very funny start to the summer holidays. Some days have been a little busier than others, while on the quieter days it's been a little gloomy.

But every single one of you who has walked through our doors, left a kind comment, or shared some lovely, heartfelt words has reminded us why we do what we do.

It's not just the customers who support our little business—it's the encouragement, kindness, and positivity you all show us that really helps us keep going.

As a small business, those words mean more than you'll ever know. They genuinely make the difficult days that little bit easier and the good days even better.

Well... yesterday we had a little heart-to-heart, and wow, what a response! ❤️

We're proud to be part of this amazing community and are so grateful for every bit of support, no matter how big or small.

Running a small business is a bit like the British weather—you never quite know what the day will bring! One day you're rushed off your feet, the next you're wondering if the kettle is getting more visitors than you are. 😂☕

The quieter days can be tough, but your kindness reminds us why we keep going. Every customer, every recommendation, and every share really does make a difference.

So, here's to fresh coffee, homemade food, good chats, and hopefully a queue long enough to keep us on our toes! 😄

There are days when the café is busy and full of conversation, and there are other days when hardly anyone walks through the door. Those quieter days can be difficult, both emotionally and financially.

Today unfortunately is one of those days..

Still a little achey but that doesn't stop me. Well maybe sometimes 😅
