We’ve been VERY busy behind the scenes finalising everything between now and New Year… and looking at the calendar, we may have slightly lost the plot. 😂

So we’re taking that as official confirmation that IT IS NOT TOO EARLY. Case closed. No further questions. 👩‍⚖️🎄

Jose’s cakes are FLYING out, so he’s basically been locked in the kitchen baking until further notice. 😂

Apparently, NOT EVEN MY BIRTHDAY is enough to call a ceasefire in the kitchen. 😂

The Carlos vs Jose food war continues… and quite frankly, I was more than happy to be caught in the crossfire.

Carlos came out swinging with my ALL-TIME favourite — grilled chicken, peppercorn sauce, potato terrine, rainbow carrots and tenderstem broccoli. He knows exactly how to play this game. 👏

Then Jose clearly thought, “Absolutely not. I’m winning this.” and appeared with an ENTIRE strawberry & white chocolate birthday cake. 🎂

A whole cake. For me.

Unfortunately, my family seemed to think birthdays are about “sharing”. 🙄

So there we have it. No ceasefire. No birthday truce. Just two chefs still trying to outdo each other while I sit in the middle eating everything.

I’m beginning to think I should have birthdays more often. 😂
