We need to have a serious conversation...
Who looked at a perfectly innocent portion of fries and thought:
"You know what this needs? CRISPY CHICKEN. A ridiculous amount of Sriracha cheese sauce. Aioli. And absolutely zero restraint."
Because whoever it was... deserves a raise. 👏

🚨 A Slight Kitchen Catastrophe... 🚨

Well... every now and then the kitchen likes to remind us who's really in charge! Unfortunately, we've experienced an unexpected technical issue this evening which means that, for tonight only, The View Restaurant will be closed.

We sincerely apologise to everyone who was planning to dine with us this evening. We know many of you look forward to your visits and we're incredibly sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience caused.

The good news is that our team are already working hard to get everything sorted, and normal service will resume tomorrow as planned.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We promise the chefs haven't escaped, the pans haven't mutinied (yet), and we'll be back serving your favourite dishes tomorrow! 🍽️

🦪 OYSTERS… OR BETRAYAL IN A SHELL? 🦪

When the chef said “let’s put oysters on the menu,” the room split faster than a dodgy zipper at a wedding. It was basically the culinary version of the Marmite debate… you either love them or you dramatically question everyone’s life choices.

Now, we trust our chef… but we also really enjoy being right.
Turns out — we were not.

You lot have absolutely devoured them. Like… suspiciously enthusiastically.
So yeah… 1–0 to the chef. He’s unbearable about it, obviously.

I still haven’t been convinced to give them another go (once bitten, twice emotionally scarred), BUT even I’ll admit — they come out looking like an absolute work of art. Honestly, if Michelangelo did seafood, this would be it.

So if you’re Team Oyster (apparently most of you??), come and see what all the fuss is about. If you’re Team “absolutely not,” come anyway and judge from a safe distance like I do.

Either way… the chef is smug, the oysters are flying out, and I’m reluctantly admitting defeat.

STOP SCROLLING. 🚨

Yes… that is a chorizo Scotch egg.
Yes… it’s as ridiculous as it looks.
And no… you’re not dreaming.

Golden, crispy on the outside, perfectly soft in the middle, wrapped in spicy chorizo goodness like it’s wearing a little flavour-packed jacket… and then we’ve gone and paired it with a smoked paprika mayo that honestly deserves its own fan club.

We’re not saying this is the best starter you’ll ever eat…
…but we are saying you might think about it at 2am later.

If food could flirt, this would be it.

🚨 WARNING 🚨
Chef has gone rogue again… and honestly, we’ve stopped trying to control him.

From 5pm tonight and all weekend (or until you lot eat us out of house and home), we’re serving up specials so good they should probably come with a disclaimer:

🐚 Trio of in-shell scallops with lemon & tarragon butter (basically little edible hugs)
🦆 Oriental confit duck leg salad (fancy… but still absolutely demolishable)
🐟 Butterflied sardines on toasted sourdough with pickled red onion & tomato (don’t knock it till you’ve inhaled it)
🍲 Classic Marseille Bouillabaisse (say it out loud, feel sophisticated instantly)

We DID tell you to expect amazing things…
We just didn’t realise Chef would take it as a personal challenge.

⚠️ No reservations for “I’ll just have one bite” (you won’t)
⚠️ Once it’s gone… it’s gone… and yes, there will be tears

We’ve got a situation in the kitchen… and honestly, we’re not sure it’s under control anymore. 😳

Chef has gone rogue.
We repeat… CHEF. HAS. GONE. ROGUE. 👨‍🍳💥

He’s been in the kitchen all week like some kind of culinary mad scientist, throwing flavours around, taste-testing everything in sight, and muttering things like “just one more tweak…” at 11pm. We tried to stop him. We really did. But at this point, we’re just staying out of his way and letting the magic happen.

The result?
This weekend’s SPECIALS are looking outrageously good. 🤤

We genuinely cannot wait for you to try them… mostly so we can finally stop eating them ourselves before we have to order new uniforms in a bigger size.

⚠️ WARNING ⚠️
These specials are LIMITED.
Like… “blink and they’re gone” limited.
Like… “you’ll hear about them and cry because you missed out” limited.

So get yourselves booked in, get down here, and prepare to be amazed (and possibly a little bit emotional).

Chef won’t stop creating… and honestly… we don’t want him to. 😂

As in “we see you more than your own family” open. 😅

The View Restaurant is now open 7 DAYS A WEEK (because apparently you all like eating… a lot).

🍴 Lunch: 12pm – 5pm
🍽️ Evening Menu: 5pm – 9pm
🌞 Sunday Menu: 12pm – 7pm (because Sundays are for stretchy waistbands and zero regrets)

So whether you're popping in for a “light lunch” that accidentally turns into three courses…
Or arriving for dinner saying “I’m not that hungry” (we’ve heard that one before 👀)…

We’ve got you covered ALL. WEEK. LONG.

Basically… if you’re hungry, we’re open.
If you’re not hungry… give it 10 minutes and we’ll fix that.
