Back open on Wednesday with Peculiar Blue at the Acoustic Sesh 3-4pm & Caramba on Saturday, both superb acts!
Peculiar Blue are Paul & Lynn Harrison. Their original music is as an avenue to air some of their own life experiences, those of family and friends and photographs of the situations others around them find themselves in.....Music that can be sweet and melancholy yet dark and powerful.....Music you can't get out of your head. They also play a wide variety of covers in their own quirky style.
Founded in 2002, Caramba is based in York. We’re a multi-instrumental group (fiddle, guitars, mandolin, African thumb piano, whistles, and percussion) and we sing in 3-part harmony. Caramba specialises in music from Africa (where band member John was raised) and Latin America, but also covers other styles, such as Cajun, blue grass, folk and others.
Caramba has performed at many clubs, pubs, festivals, and other events in the York area. We've regularly played at York’s Black Swan Summer Festival. The 3 members of Caramba are (left to right in the attached photo) are: Rob Kealey, John Low, and Frans Maathuis.
