10am 31st July // We are pleased to let you know that The Ship is reopening today from 5pm.
Check-in: From 3pm as normal
Food & drink service: From 5pm as normal

While some roads in the surrounding area remain closed due to the wildfire on Dunwich Heath, access to The Ship is still available. We’ve put together a map to help you find the best route.
Thank you for your patience and understanding over the last 24 hours. We are incredibly grateful to the emergency services who have worked tirelessly to tackle the fire, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our guests back today.
4pm 30th July // With crews continuing to tackle the wildfire on Dunwich Heath, our sister pub, The Westleton Crown is here for our local community. If you need a drink, a place to sit or simply a moment away from it all, our doors are open.
10am 30th July // Due to the wildfire on Dunwich Heath, we have made the decision to close today to ensure team and guest safety while emergency services continue to work in the area.
Our guests have been contacted directly. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Most importantly, we hope everyone working to tackle the fire stays safe.
