Gentle reminder there isn’t long left of our Lazy Sunday Roasts…

We think it’s pretty darn good, why not come and find out!

1) roasted leg of lamb (Easter special)
2) cauli n broc cheese to die for
3) scrummy duck fat potatoes with wild garlic
4) lobo covered in and lobo butter made from lobo
5) mmmmm t-bone

Serving every Sunday til it’s not…

(Ps we have something v exciting planned to replace the roasts)
(Ps ps garden is open, cannot guarantee sunshine on Sundays just yet, but when there is, bring the lotion as it’s a bliss sun trap)

Food and jazz night #2!!

After a super successful first night, we are bringing music back to the Elephant.

New House Duo will be playing their classic swing and jazz music whilst we will be in charge the hydration and grub. This time round we will be offering a choice of two set sharing menus (give the post a swipe). Made up of some of our favourite dishes, you can’t go wrong with either!

Call up the team and select your menu, leave the rest to us.

Rye bay scallop, smoked chipotle, whiskey and blood orange 🌶️🍊

Local scallops at their most scrummy. Sweet, bouncy, and the roe’s bright and smooth. Time to add a banging butter.
Yeah, yum. Smokey, sweet, spicy, a bang of citrus. What else dya need?

Dry aged cote de boeuf, smoked anchovy + bone marrow butter, peppercorn gravy 🐄🥩

I mean, at this point, it’s just a bit silly how yummy this is. Salty, smokey, fatty butter laced with guindillas and plenty of green herbs. Rich, sticky, brown butter gravy with pops of green peppercorns. Charred, blushing beef with a bone that’s only right to pick up and chew.

Onion rings a must on the side, frites to dip, and maybe a salad to feel better after devouring 1kg of prime meat.

Always on, maybe changing butter, probably onto Guinness butter next…we’ll see.

Just a lil kitchen food dump for your faces:

1) the yummiest of winter salads with blood orange and Ewe Eat Me cheese (great name, definitely not a ew, but an ewe)

2) scrummy winter tomatoes, Smokey and nutty salsa macha and goats curd

3) scallop roasted with chipotle and whiskey butter

4) prawns, satay sauce and the pinkest onions

5) stone bass with a tomato and pesto cassoulet thingy

Some absolute hits on the latest menu, time to pick up the pace and enjoy the last of the winter veg before we hit the spanking spring veg!!
