Are there any dishes, flavours or little bites you remember loving from our time as a coffee shop in Northwich? Or is there something you’ve always wanted to see turned into a canapé?

Our Afro-Arab food naturally lends itself to family-style sharing and big tables, but that’s exactly where canapés get fun…

We get to take the flavours we love, play around with them, add a few modern twists and turn them into something completely new. ✨

The Holmfirth Wedding:
Part 2 - THE BIG DAY 🤍

After months of planning, prepping and packing everything we needed, it was finally time to bring it all together - cocktails, canapés, catering, coffee and plenty of hospitality.

It was a BIG one for us - our first large-scale wedding since closing our coffee shop and refocusing the business, we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better event to kickstart this next chapter.

HUGE congratulations to our wonderful bride and groom - you and your family and friends were a delight to spend the weekend with ♥️

We’ve been keeping this one under wraps for a while… and now we can finally show you what we’ve been up to!

This was our first BIG wedding catering event since closing our coffee shop and refocusing our business - we are SO excited to bring together everything we love: coffee, cocktails, food & hospitality☕️🍸✨

We've had to travel a little way for this one, so we had a lot to take over and set up before the guests arrive tomorrow...

✨Liverpool Arab Arts Festival ✨

At the weekend, we catered some canapés for the Sudanese Culinary Arts and Literature event at the Liverpool Arts Festival.

It felt like such an honour to be part of this wonderful event, thank you to Liverpool Arab Arts Festival and المطبخ السوداني for inviting us along.

Here’s what we served…
🫘Fuul
The national dish of Sudan. Fava beans and chickpeas in a cumin, coriander and lemon sauce. Topped with a falafel crumb, aish baladi (flatbread) and fresh coriander.

🥮Madidat Beleh 
A twist on a very authentic Sudanese date pudding with ghee, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg. Topped with pistachios, rose petals and a sprinkle of Himalayan sea salt.

🇸🇩 Sudanese Cuisine lends itself to family-style serve, so to serve as canapés was a fun challenge that we’d love to do more of - it’s given us so many ideas!

Omer is the first person ever to publish a Sudanese Cookbook, in English - which is so incredibly awesome. For me personally, it was exciting to be in a room with such a mix of SWANA cultures in the UK and to feel our food was able to represent both authentic and modern Sudanese cuisine - which is a good representation of me!

About last night...
Here's a little photo dump from last night’s supper club at Coupe, Bollington ✨

An evening that felt both familiar and completely new, but wonderfully special.

We’re used to welcoming people through coffee, cake, wine and tapas small plates in our little bar CELESTE (and back when we were open in Northwich too) - or the opposite end of the scale, catering for 50-100+ people at events!
But stepping into a full chef-style food service was a different kind of hospitality. Planning, cooking, plating and serving a full dinner service was a refreshing challenge and one we thoroughly enjoyed.

Food has always been at the heart of our story. Last night gave us the chance to slow things down, gather people around the table, and share a menu inspired by the cultures, flavours and traditions that continue to shape what we do - the way we've always wanted to.

Thank you to everyone who came along, shared the evening with us, and trusted us with our first supper club out of our own venues. The room was full of warmth, great conversations and empty plates - best kind of feedback.

& a special thank you to Hope, who's been the kindest of friends since we joined the community in Holmes Chapel. It's a joy to work alongside her, and we're so proud of the space she's created over in Bollington.

Here’s to trying new things, and creating more moments like this!
