We are proud to announce that we will be supporting this wonderful charity for another year.

Hello all.

It’s nearly that time of the year, when the big man in red is back in town, for your furry family to meet and share their Christmas wish list with Santa Paws.

This year the event will be held at the Antrobus Hotel.

Santa Paws will be visiting on
Saturday 28th November for one day only.

Times. 11:15 running through to 1700.

We endeavour to raise lots of donations to outreach back in to the community..

Bookings do fill up quickly, do ensure to get booked in for this amazing event.

It has been a busy weekend of special celebrations here at the
Antrobus Hotel.
We have hosted a 50th Birthday and a christening.
Guests have enjoyed their fresh buffet, their company, and made use of our beautiful open garden..

Our buffets are made to order, including any dietary requirements.

Here at the Antrobus Hotel.
We hold 17 rooms, including 3 family rooms.
Most of the rooms have an original open fireplace.
Whether a Queen size bed or a King, you can decide on your comfortable night stay with us.
All rooms are en-suite with complimentary
Tea & coffee and bathroom amenities for your stay.

Room 20 is one of our popular rooms to stay in. This room is called the “Beatle Suite” where the Beatles were guests in the 60s, when they created their hit song. “Help”.

Our room charges range from
£75 - £125 per night.

Breakfast is included in your stay.

Monday to Thursday a continental breakfast is served between
7am -9am

Friday through to Sunday , a full English breakfast is served between
8am - 10am.

Breakfast items are locally sourced.

Please do let a member of staff know if you have any dietary needs and requests with your booking.

Meet the Team..

Garry and Shell are the Hotels management. They both have been part of the hotels running and up keep for the past 10 years.
Whether checking in guests, managing events, overseeing the Hotels day to day running.
All greeted with a warm welcome, for your visit and your stay.

The Antrobus Hotel hasn’t always been a Hotel.
In the 14th century it was a very well known Ale House.
From around 1635 the premises was called
“Chopping Knife Inn”
The building over time has been a vicarage, a young gentleman’s grammar school, a hospital, an officers mess and also private residency.
1923 it was converted in to a Hotel called
“The Avon”
1962 renamed “ The Antrobus Arms”
Around the mid 2000s it became the
“Antrobus Hotel.

This Historic building has seen many changes over the centuries.
In the cellar holds one of the original walls from when it was called
“The Chopping Knife Inn”

The cellar also has a well with natural spring water. Plus 3 tunnels running under the high street of Amesbury.
“Priest Bolt Holes”..

The Beatles stayed in the hotel when they filmed their hit song
“Help”
Room 20 is the “Beatles Suite”..

The comical duo morcambe and Wise also stayed..

The Antrobus and gardens became a studio set for Agatha Christie 1987 adaptation of Miss Marple.
Renamed The Golden Boar Hotel.

The Antrobus now a days is known for housing functions, weddings, parties and a monthly “Mash up” an event for DJs and their sets.

The hotel displays much Art Deco, a wonderful spiral staircase, a beautiful garden with a working fountain set in a large pond , home to around 200 koi carp.

Locally sourced real ales supplied by Stonehenge Brewery. With premium lagers on tap, offering our very own lager, the
“ Antrobus Export” £3.50 per pint.
“Henry Western” fruit ciders £3.50 per pint.
Whether an alcoholic beverage or a fruit juice, we also offer warm drinks.
The bar is situated within a large area, with plenty of comfortable seating, and an open fire for the colder months.
