As you may have noticed, we've gone back to our normal logo instead of our Pride logo. This is only for Pride month, once finished, it'll be back. We're deliberately not taking part in Pride month (as a business) in protest of many businesses using Pride month to make token gestures of support just for good PR, rather than actually providing meaningful long term support to our community.
As individuals, we'll continue being loud and proud. Our existence shouldn't be controversial and while transphobic organizations continue to make it controversial, we'll keep making a point that we exist and would very much like to keep existing without having to fight.
If you do have a spare bit of money, we'd ask that you donate it directly to one of these charities:
- Galop (charity that supports LGBT+ victims of domestic abuse)
- akt (charity that supports LGBT+ young adults faced with homelessness)
- Mind Somerset (operators of the MindLine Trans+ emotional support line)
- Samaritans (whilst not LGBT+ specific, they are currently a vital service for many of us)
This all being said, we're aware as a business we are in a unique position to aid in fundraising. So throughout Pride month, if you send us proof that you've donated £10 or more (via a single donation) to one of the above charities, we'll give you a £2.50 discount code. This is limited to 1 per person and the code expires after 1 year.
