Located right on the waterfront and next to The Fish Quay, Crab Shed Salcombe offers relaxed and casual dining with spectactular views of the beautiful Salcombe estuary. Our chefs prepare all their own stocks from the freshest fish and shellfish and other locally sourced produce. This ensures that our Bouillabaisse, Bisque and various other soups and sauces are infused with those special seafood flavours. In addition to our restaurant area, our waterside terrace offers al fresco dining and is the perfect place to watch the fishing boats returning to The Fish Quay!

We will be busy demonstrating how we handpick our delicious Salcombe crab, and our Head Chef Martin will be talking through our flavoursome and unique crab recipes.. of course offering plenty of tasty samples! There will be lots to buy and take home with you including our delicious crab sannies, dressed crab, and fresh crab meat. AND if you fancy a break from the busy street stands, the restaurant will be open as usual for lunch and dinner, so get your booking in now via our website!🍾

We will be serving our delicious Valentines menu from tomorrow, Friday 13th dinner to Sunday 15th lunch alongside our à la carte menu.

What to expect? Well our brilliant Head Chef, Martin will be creating some heavenly specials including Crab, Scallop, Hake and Lobster Mornay and Wild Seabass. And if you feel like something sweet to finish, try our silky vanilla cheesecake, with poached rhubarb and Champagne compot. Alongside this, we will be serving cocktails and of course our House Champagne, Pink Taittinger and Bollinger. 🍾💌

We are so excited for this new year ahead! Let it be filled with plates of seafood, buckets of bubbles and plenty of sunny days in Salcombe! 🦀🍾🦞
This January we will remain open Monday - Sunday, lunch and dinner, except for between Sunday 11th after lunch until Friday 16th at 6pm - as we just need a little freshen up before the year antics begin! We can’t wait to welcome you all over the year - see you hopefully soon! 🫶🏻🦀

It’s officially the start of the festivities!! 🍾🎄

With Christmas just around the corner and everyone busy pulling together their exciting plans ahead, here is a reminder of our Christmas and New Year’s opening hours. Please do make sure to book with plenty of time in advance if you haven’t yet, as it’s already looking like a busy season ahead! 🥳🥂

We are open 7 days a week throughout the whole season, except for Weds 10th Dec where we are closed for our staff Christmas party!🕺🏽🥂. We will reopen on Thurs 11th for dinner service and remain open up until after Christmas Eve Lunch where we then close until lunch time on the 27th December. We are then open throughout Twixmas and New Year’s until early January.
