As some of you may know, I lost my lovely mum at the end of last month. The Courtyard would not be here if it were not for her love and support. She always loved her cappuccino and Victoria sponge cake. The Courtyard will be closed on Tuesday as it’s her funeral, both as a mark of respect for my mum, but because so many of my staff want to attend. They are my family and have been with me through everything. I could not do what I do without them. Thank you also to all the customers for all your love and support. Cathy ###

Today we said farewell to the GOAT barista Tyler. He is off to University and we can’t put into words just how much we will all miss him! 😭
Tyler has been such a brilliant member of the team, a good friend and an all round lovely human being! Most of all we will miss the fun and pranks that Tyler brings every shift and The Courtyard will be a little bit quieter without him!
Tyler, thank you for all your hard work and commitment over the years, we appreciate and love you! We wish you good luck in all you do ###

Ellie joined us last year after impressing us in her trial shift with her initiative and bubbly personality. We are so glad she joined the team as she works so hard and just cracks on every day! You will see her whizzing round the cafe always finding something to keep her busy! Ellie makes us all laugh with her dry wit and one liners and we wouldn’t change her for the world! Tyler is the loveliest, most thoughtful person with the biggest heart.❤️ He works hard and makes the best coffee! He is also the Courtyards biggest prankster and if you hear a staff member yell ‘Tyler!!!’ You can guarantee he has been up to mischief! Got 20 sugars in your drink? Lost your phone? A sticker on your back with a rude message? We always know who’s to blame. 🤣🤣
