Summer may be over and back to school may have started but we’d like to take a moment to tell you about all the wonderful, amazing, heartfelt and inspiring work we have been a part of these past (very warm) months! ☀️
From catering weddings, parties and events to holding talks with some of our sanctuary seeker volunteers and sharing their journeys, sharing our love of food with others to celebrating those in our community for their incredible achievements, we have been very busy!
We have hosted countless community lunches, shared Syrian, Somalian, Kurdish, Iranian, Pakistani, Greek and Egyptian dishes among others! 🌍
We have worked closely with many local initiatives and businesses, Hope United FC, Halton & St Helens Voluntary and Community Action, The World Of Glass, St Helens Minster, St Helens Artisan Market, Anfield People's Cinema, Viaduct Violets Women's Institute - Public to name just a few, and we are grateful for every collaboration, conversation and opportunity 🧡
We have celebrated members of our community and been shortlisted for awards ourselves, we were a finalist for the Community Cohesion Award, and a huge congratulations goes to Abdullrhman Hassona on becoming Artist of the Year for the Liverpool City Region Artist and Culture & Creativity Awards 👏🏻
Thank you so everyone who has supported us, volunteered with us, taught with us, held a session with us, eaten with us, celebrated with us, shared the highs and the lows, we are so thankful to be on this journey and can’t wait to share with you what we’re planning behind the scenes 🥳
