It's almost on the doorstep of the National History Museum and St Fagans Castle which has a commanding position above the River Ely. The inn takes its name from Elizabeth Lewis, heiress of a major local landowner in the area, who married the Third Earl of Plymouth in the early 1700's. The Plymouth Arms' location provided easy access to Cardiff and was a popular stop off point for people travelling
there in traditional hansom cabs. Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires. WE'RE A DOG FRIENDLY PUB
We welcome four legged friends and have water and treats available
to ensure they're as comfortable as you are during your visit! Dogs are allowed in the bar area of our pub, as this is the most friendly environment
for you and your four-legged friends to feel relaxed, safe, and happy at all times during your visit.
