Phew! We've been a quiet on here of late - the grim weather over the half term holiday definitely has something to do that. Thanks to everyone who came in during the week, it was ace seeing so many making return visits 😁

Unfortunately though, that'll be the end of the return visits. For now. The Smorgasboard is closing at 1 High Street, with this coming Sunday (8th June) being our last day.

If you've yet to come in, well, shame on you! 😉 It's not too late though - we've got loads of games for all abilities and it really is a lovely way to while away a couple of hours. Perfect for catching up with a friend and a natter, or even a date night. Our bookings are open now until Sunday.

A MASSIVE thank you to those who have supported us since opening. Matt was the crazy guy who decided to open a board game cafe this far west, but it is not necessarily over yet! We're keeping our future options open for now, possibly in a new location or in a slightly different form - keep your eyes peeled on socials for news of events and future happenings...

Shout out to all our faithfuls, or are you actually traitors? 🧐

If you love the Traitors, how about playing the original game that it was based on? In Ultimate Werewolf, players are assigned roles, the werewolves (traitors) and villagers (faithfuls). The werewolves secretly work together to eliminate villagers, while the villagers try to identify and eliminate the werewolves through discussion and voting.

This must be booked in advance as we need to know final numbers so that Matt can set up the finer details of the game. The session is £5 per person, however, if you work in hospitality, retail or tourism in St Davids, then this one is on us!

This weekend we finally got round to getting another game out on the table, and learnt to play the brilliant Beer & Bread. If you're a seasoned gamer, who is looking for a proper 2 player game with more depth, then this one is for you! 🍺🍞

It's May bank holiday weekend, the sun is shining and we're expecting lots of you to head west for your first camping session of the year!

We are open all weekend from 11 until late and our kitchen serves all day. We have decided to trial opening up bookings to non-gamers too...

Thanks to everyone who has successfully booked over the past few days - what a brilliant bunch you've been!! 🤩

We know that we're quiet most of the time, but it really is best to book during holidays as we have been fully booked the last few days. Just make sure that you book for the correct number of people in your party, and mention in the booking comments if you're bringing a dog, or a pram etc, so we can make sure that you're seated in the most appropriate spot in the cafe - space has been a bit tight during the wet days. Easter weekend is nearly here 🐰🐣

The weather is still looking a bit dodgy at the moment and our slots are starting to fill up. If you’re planning a visit we highly recommend booking in advance. We just ask you to consider a few things:

1. The booking system defaults to 2 customers. Make sure that you adjust this according to the number of people in your party. We are likely to not be able to accommodate changes at the time of your arrival if you require more seats.

2. If you decide to book a different time slot from your original booking, please contact us to cancel your original booking slot. Your confirmation email has a contact number and we try to monitor our socials for messages throughout service.

3. Life does get in the way, but we’re a small business with a tiny team. If you do need to cancel/amend your booking, please, please contact us. We will do all we can to rejig things wherever possible.

4. Our coffee corner is working a treat and means that we’re able to offer a dry, warm spot for a quick cuppa for walk-ins who are not gaming ☕️

PS. Blood on the Clocktower on Friday night is now totally sold out. Thanks to all those who have booked 😎
