There’s something a little bit special happening down here… 🌊🎶

What a summer.

When we started putting on live music at Porthluney, the idea was pretty simple. Good food, good music, a beautiful beach and somewhere people could come together and enjoy a summer evening.

Somewhere along the way, it became a little more than that.

Packed evenings, incredible musicians, families on blankets, dogs everywhere, people dancing barefoot, sunsets, singalongs, great food, a few questionable dance moves… and a proper little community forming around it all. ❤️

We think we’ve created something pretty unique down here, and that’s entirely because of the people who have embraced it.

So a massive thank you to every artist who played, everyone behind the scenes and every single person who came down, ate, drank, danced, brought their friends and helped make these evenings what they are.

This film is just a little glimpse of what summer at The Beach Café, Caerhays has become.

And we’re only getting started.

🌧️ Sadly, today’s live music with Selena Brose Music has been cancelled due to the weather.

Not quite the ending to the summer we’d hoped for, but after such an incredible run of music down at the beach, we can’t complain too much! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who’s joined us this summer, and to all of the brilliant musicians who’ve entertained us along the way.

See you next year! 🌊🎶

🎶🌊 And that’s a wrap on our Tuesday & Thursday summer music nights…

What a way to finish. Last night was absolutely packed again, with the brilliant Rue providing the perfect soundtrack to see out the series. A huge thank you to Rue for such a great set! ❤️

Looking back over the past couple of months, we can genuinely say this has been our best summer yet at the Beach Café.

A massive thank you to every musician who played, everyone who worked behind the scenes and, most importantly, every single one of you who came down, brought your friends and families, ate, drank, danced, sang and spent your summer evenings with us.

You’ve made these nights what they are and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better summer. ❤️

We’re not completely finished yet though! 👀

🎶 Selena Brose Music joins us this Sunday for one final scheduled music event, so there’s still one more chance to enjoy some live music by the sea.

After that, we’ll be looking ahead to next year… and we’ve already got some big ideas. 👀☀️

If you’ve been down to one of our live music nights this summer, you’ll probably have noticed we’re a little bit obsessed with getting your four-legged companions into the videos. 😂

So after another summer of wagging tails, questionable dance moves, stolen snacks and dogs enjoying the music more than some of the humans… we thought they deserved their own showreel. ❤️

🎶🌊 One last Thursday night at Porthluney…

Tomorrow night marks the final scheduled Tuesday & Thursday live music night of the summer at the Beach Café, and we’re finishing the series with the brilliant Rue from 6:30pm. ❤️

Rue blends soulful vocals and rhythmic acoustic guitar with jazz, R&B, neo-soul and funk. She’s appeared at Boardmasters, The Great Escape and Cheltenham Jazz Festival, with support from BBC Introducing and Jazz FM.

After what has been an absolutely incredible summer down here, we’d love to see as many of you as possible for one last Thursday evening of good food, cold drinks and live music by the sea. ☀️

🌧️ Well… we nearly made it through the whole summer!

Sadly, tonight’s final tregony teachers night has been cancelled due to the weather. We’re absolutely gutted not to give them the send-off we had planned, but what a run it’s been. ❤️

Five incredible nights of packed crowds, singalongs, dancing, conga lines, great food, questionable dance moves and some genuinely brilliant memories down at Porthluney. 🎶🌊

The Teachers nights have become a massive part of this summer at the Beach Café, and we can’t thank the band… and every single one of you who turned up week after week… enough for making them so special.

That’s a wrap for Tregony Teachers this summer…

After four brilliant nights, packed crowds, singalongs, dancing, conga lines and some seriously good summer memories, Tregony Teachers are back tomorrow for their FINAL Beach Café gig of the season.

This isn’t the end of the music just yet, we’ve still got the final week of scheduled live music to come, but if you’ve been meaning to catch the Teachers down at Porthluney, this is the one.
