Sam’s Diner COMMIS CHEF 👩🏻🍳 👨🍳
Sam’s Diner is part of the well known, Cornish Restaurant brand est in 1988 and located in St Austell / Par near the beautiful Carlyon Bay Beaches on a busy retail site.
We are looking for conscientious new team member to join our friendly established team for an immediate start in our popular American Diner.
You will be required to help run the kitchen smoothly and efficiently with existing, very competent Head and Commis Chefs. This is a great working environment in a top of the range kitchen. We have streamlined the menu to Homemade Burgers, Hand rolled Artisan Pizzas, Pasta and Chicken Dishes, to make it a great working menu for Staff and enjoyable for our customers.
It is sometimes a fast paced role but with a very simple, quality menu.
We are well know for our burgers and have won numerous awards and accolades for our staff welfare and our brand innovations.
You will need to have a great passion for working with quality produce, an interest in local suppliers and ingredients as we only use the best local products.
All food is made on site We also are creating our own products to sell to the public. So if you have great ideas and want to be part of the produce producing team we would love to hear from you.
In Sam’s it is important to be a team player and work closely with the head Chef, General Manager and other kitchen staff to maximise potential of the running of the kitchen. Many of our staff are still with us after 30 years.
This is a Full Time Seasonal or Annual job with great working hours. So perfect for that work, family balance. We are also located near the beautiful South coast beaches on St Austell Bay
You will need experience in:
Daily Ordering
High quality control of food.
A passion for quality local produce and ingredients
Excellent Quality control and Stock control
Maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards
Working in a sometimes fast paced, well controlled environment
Good communication skills
Good time keeping
Tidy appearance
Allergens Knowledge
Catering Qualifications level 1 & 2
Minimum of 1 years experience in a kitchen role
And most of all a good sense of humour, easy going and a team player.
