CALLING ALL CREATIVES!

We’re planning to introduce some art and craft sessions at The Lion over the summer and beyond, using an amazing craft box kindly donated by Pub is The Hub.

We’d love to hear from anyone who might like to get involved, whether that’s leading a creative session for children or adults, or helping us gather additional supplies.

In particular, we’re looking for donations such as old men’s shirts (to turn into children’s aprons), plastic tablecloths, and a range of basic craft materials including wool, buttons, string, brushes, jam jars, newspapers, children’s scissors, and child-friendly paint.

Children’s sessions will be parent-led and themed activities (such as sketching or clay modelling), while adult sessions could include relaxed social evenings like “Sip and Draw”.

This Food Truck Tuesday we’re pleased to welcome back the brilliant Elder Street Truck Food with their famous Proper Dogs - a firm Lion favourite.

If you’ve had them before, you’ll know what’s coming… and if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat.

Seriously good hot dogs with proper toppings. Loaded sides and big flavours.

Perfect with a pint.

Serving from 5 to 8 pm tonight. Bar opens at 4 pm.

We’re trying to prove that Mondays don’t have to be the worst night of the week.

Our Monday Night Quiz runs twice a month and is a friendly, sociable evening.

Hosted by Andy, it’s a low-pressure quiz with plenty of laughs, a bit of competition, and the occasional question that makes you wonder how you were ever supposed to know that (unless UK motorways happen to be your speciality).

If you’re looking for a better way to start the week, this might be it.

Teams of up to six are welcome. Book a table or just turn up.
