Good morning from The Royal Esplanade Hotel & Ryde Esplanade 👋🍂

There’s a little autumn breeze creeping in now, but we’re still enjoying plenty of beautiful sunny days — and long may they continue into October! ☀️🙏

We’re delighted to have two wonderful coach groups staying with us this week.

🏛️ Gibbons Coaches are heading off to Osborne House today — Queen Victoria’s former Island home, famous for its beautiful grounds, fascinating history and stunning Victorian architecture.

🚂 Middletons Tours are spending the day at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, stepping back in time along its beautifully preserved heritage railway.

We hope you all have a fantastic day exploring the Island.

Then it’s back to The Royal Esplanade this evening for a delicious three-course dinner, followed by live vocals from the very talented Alan Woods 🎶🍽️

There’s no minimum group size, and smaller parties will be seated together. Secure your places with a £10 per person deposit; the balance is due two weeks before your party.

🛏️ Make a night of it: Party guests can book a double or twin room for £50, including breakfast for two, subject to availability.

We’re right opposite Ryde’s transport hub, making the journey home easy too.

The stage, lighting and sound are in, the eccentric artwork is dotted around the hotel and lots of fabulously dressed guests are starting to check in … Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival have officially arrived! 🎉⚙️

Tonight, doors open at 6.30pm for the SOLD OUT Gears & Goggles Cabaret. We can’t wait to welcome everyone for what promises to be a brilliant evening!

Then tomorrow night, there are still a very limited number of tickets remaining for Pipetopia at The Royal Esplanade Hotel. Doors open at 7pm and we’re so excited for the main event! 💃🎩

We had the pleasure of doing something a little different last Sunday… 🫖🍰✨
Appley Tower Ryde Isle of Wight got in touch to ask if we could provide Afternoon Tea for their guests — but with a twist! Instead of serving it here at The Royal Esplanade, we packed everything up and delivered it over to their beautiful historic tower just down the road.

From freshly prepared sandwiches and sliders to sweet treats, scones, jam, clotted cream and, of course, plenty of tea, we loved putting together this special spread for them. There is something quite lovely about seeing our Afternoon Tea enjoyed in such a unique setting. 💛

We hope everyone at Appley Tower had a wonderful afternoon and enjoyed their little taste of Royal Esplanade hospitality.

Our Afternoon Tea is available here at the hotel Monday–Saturday and is perfect for birthdays, catch-ups, celebrations or simply an excuse for tea and cake.
