Quarr Abbey Teashop & Farm Shop Quarr Abbey is home to a small group of Benedictine monks who strive to dedicate their lives to the glory of God.

Quarr Abbey is a working Benedictine Monastery and home to a community of monks who dedicate their life to prayer, contemplation and community life. With free admission and car parking to the grounds and property; whether visiting the church, pilgrim chapel, the teashop and farm shop, the art gallery, monastery shop, visiting the ruins, or simply wandering the grounds to experience the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of the monastery, Quarr Abbey offers interest and enjoyment for all to enjoy.

Good morning all, we hope you enjoyed the partial solar eclipse safely last night.
We have lots going on at the abbey for the next few weeks:
- 19th August - Free guided tour at 11am (meet at the monastery shop)
- 21st/22nd August- Traditional sports days, part of the Wight Games Festival.
This is a free event, just turn up on the day.
-In the courtyard gallery running till the 7th of September we have A Holy Week Exhibition.
Starting on the 10th of September our food evenings are back, starting with the classic fish and chips, 2 courses for £13.95 all details and where you book are on our website:

This is a limited number event so book soon so you don’t miss out.

We are taking part in The Wight Games Festival here at the abbey on Friday 21st of August and Saturday 22nd.
We will be hosting a selection of traditional sports games from Egg and Spoon to sack race, bean bag throwing to guess the weight game and much more, all donations will go to:
~Mountbatten Isle of Wight
~Isle of Wight NHS trust &
~Independent Arts
Enjoy refreshments and lovely food from the teashop or purchase some grab and go food so you can sit in the grounds and eat.
So come and join us for a family fun day at the abbey.

If you are thinking of visiting, we have 3 different family trails which we offer free of charge and can be picked up from the farm shop.

Our hide is a great place to spot red squirrels, come for a stroll or sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Car parking is also free, donations are welcome

The recital starts at 3pm in the Abbey Church.

Entry is free with a retiring collection.

Good Afternoon from Quarr Abbey,

Tomorrow is the first of a series of 3 organ recitals taking place this week at Quarr Abbey.

The recitals will be performed on the Mutin Cavaillé-Coll organ (1912) Composer of the year: Dietrich BUXTEHUDE

Tomorrow is the turn of Helene Du Boisbaudry who will be performing at 3pm.

Free Entrance with a retiring collection.

Good evening all, something for you for next week, our organ recitals from July 14th-16th featuring: Helene Du Boisbaudry, Simon Buchanan-Morgan and Dom. Francois D’assise Chereau OBE in the abbey church from 3pm daily, this is free entrance but we have a retiring collection. And our ever popular guided tour of the church is on at 11am Wednesday the 15th, please meet next to the visitors centre, this is also free of charge. We really look forward to your visit.
