Dear Customers.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all our customers for their patience and their continued support. Some of our customers will know I have been quite unwell recently. In October 2019, I had to go for an operation. The doctors and my wife advised me not to returned to work for a few weeks, but I thought I was well enough to return within a few days. Little did I know, I ended up in the ICU at Kettering Hospital late one the evening and I fought the biggest battle of my life. I am so proud of my wife who dared to picked up the pieces and soldiered on and attempted to continue with our business. I am grateful for what she achieved and many thanks to the customers who wished me well. I also want to thank my son, Roy, who bravely faced the customers and attempted to do his best by taking orders face to face and over the telephone. He also had to deal with the online service when it went down by contacting the online providers. My daughter, Ella, supported me, nursed me and with her mother banned me from returning to work for 3 weeks. I am so proud and lucky to have such a strong family who bravely soldiered on with the business and continued going to school. I am lucky to have customers for being patient with us over the past month.
I am pleased so say after a successful "phased in" work for the past week, my family has given me the permission to return to work in my own business (LOL).
I also want to take the opportunity to thank the delivery drivers for their support in keeping the business running and not to disappoint the customers during my absence.
I have learned one important thing - when the wife says "you're not fit to work"; I should pay heed and listen to the wife and the doctors.
Thank you everyone. Thanks to Roy taking control of the online ordering service is working again. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
