I had another great day today at the .uk festival in Runcorn. Honestly, some of the food was legit. I had Kanom Jeen, moo ping, khao neow. Yesterday was just as delicious.

If you followed me for a long time, you'll know I spent a lot of time in Thailand. I really love the food! When I was in Melbourne, I was fully committed to the Thai food boom. I can't believe this was on my doorstep. It was a really good weekend.

I really miss Thai food, so I have filled my boots this weekend. I spent all day there chilling our today. We've worked hard in Manchester recently, and I needed it.

My original blog was all about food, travel, coffee, and culture. Thai music, Thai food, Thai culture. I would post about it every week. I have really immersed myself in it before now. This weekend was really refreshing, but it made me realise how much I miss food with flavour.

When people are bringing things like this to our doorstep, how can we possibly complain. It would have been another boring couple of days in Runcorn this weekend.

I've been brewing up this washed Typica Mejorado recently from .roast. My favourite brewer to brew this coffee with was the .uk 01.

Thanks for watching. I really enjoyed this coffee. I have not been paid to promote this coffee. It is just very good quality and I wanted to share it. It was sweet, floral, syrupy and there were notes of coffee blossom, Valencia orange cake, and Thai milk tea.

Today, I spent a few hours at .uk coffee festival in Runcorn of all places! It is on again tomorrow, you should check it out. £7 OTD for adults and under 15s are free.

It was pretty hot! Hon lai lai! That wasn't keeping me away from Thai food. If yoi don't know, I spent a lot of time in and out of Thailand. I used to spend a lot of time in Lat Krabang, Bangkok.

I had a great day today, listening to Thai cabaret, eating Thai food, and I even managed to blag my mate to come down for some luk chin neua, beef balls on a stick and a beer. Before that, I also had a crispy Thai mussel omelette (hoi todd) and mango sticky rice (khao neow ma muang.) There was a lot more exotic food. I just got some comforting food I know and miss.

Thailand is where I did my second ever coffee reccy. Back in 2014, the first one was in London. I first went Thailand in October 2013 and it lit the fire for my thirst for long haul travel. It set to on the way to moving to Australia.

A lot of my followers started following because of my Melbourne Thai food videos. That place has one of the best Thai food scenes in the world. Now we have a Thai food festival in Runcorn. Mind blown.

At the weekend, I had an opportunity to brew some coffees at .work_ in Runcorn. From Melbourne to Runcorn. If you know me, I believe that coffee is for everyone and it's a conduit for social growth. The event was called Wrestle It Back and INFAMOUS were the main attraction for the day.

I was able to talk to a lot of people, serve a lot of samples, we had a little cupping session, and I even had a lot of retail for people to buy at very accessible prices. I wasn't there to hustle, I was there to talk about coffee and tell people about some of the things coffee has allowed me to do.

I live in a deprived area, people are isolated and we want to help change that. Isolation can lead to radicalisation and I'd rather people get radical over mad brews. The focus of the event was men's mental health. We can all have a good chat over coffee cant we. I have PTSD and ADHD, so I am fully aware of a lot of challenges that people can face.

Thanks to everyone who made it possible. .work_ for the invite, Brewed by Hand for loaning me some equipment at short notice. The xBloom got people talking, and the Wilfa UK meant I could do more volume.

, and Skylark Coffee who supplied the retail coffees. Kapow Coffee, rish coffee roasters, Atrium, Piccoloco all donated some coffee for the event. I also served Proud Mary Coffee, SEY Coffee, and Prodigal Coffee.

People were surprised how much equipment I have, but in order to get the best from the coffees, I need good tools. Many of them were investments, that last a long time. The grinder was donated to me by TIMEMORE Coffee OFFICIAL for Martin Hand events.

This stuff is just as valuable to me as going to competitions or big coffee festivals. Thanks for reading.

This Saturday, Martin Hand will be dishing out coffee samples, hosting a couple of tastings sessions, and we'll be serving great value coffee at Wrestle It Back. I've approached a few local places, and K I N D R E D have invited us to host a stand at the festival.

We'll talk specialty coffee, serve specialty coffee, and encourage people to get involved with some tastings. We will have decaf available. There's bags and boxes of retail available from international and UK roasters such as Proud Mary Coffee, Skylark Coffee, and

We see coffee as a conduit and a tool of empowerment. We will tell you all about it. Maybe you'll want to get involved. Coffee can be uplifting and it can help build social circles. Specialty coffee hasn't really touched this town and we're excited to bring this even to my home.

From Melbourne, to Kyoto, Sydney, and now in Runcorn. Slurps Up started as a social initiative to bring people together over coffee. We taste, we learn, and we connect with others. Everyone is welcome. We all grow together. We share skills and insight, thoughts on coffee and what we are tasting.

Thanks to everyone who has made this possible. Brewed by Hand have loaned us the equipment. We will have batch brew, pourover and we'll get some coffees brewing on an xBloom. There is lots to taste, smell, and talk about at this event.
