Whether you are a seasoned player or have never thrown a dart in your life, our team is looking for new players to join us for the upcoming season!

We play in a recreational league, which means we care way more about having a good laugh and a midweek pint than throwing perfect 180s.

If you are reliable, enjoy a bit of friendly competition, and want a fun night out, you’ll fit right in.

☘️Please Join Us in Welcoming Our New Steward, Gráinne Ward!☘️

The Rugby Irish Association is delighted to introduce Gráinne Ward as our new Steward.

Gráinne joins us with a passion for bringing people together and supporting those around her. With family, friendship and community at the heart of everything she does, she is looking forward to becoming part of the Association and getting to know our members.

☘️☘️☘️ Getting to Know Gráinne ☘️☘️☘️

Before she settles into her new role, we wanted to give our members the chance to get to know Gráinne a little better. We grabbed a few minutes with her and asked some quick-fire questions about her background, her hopes for the future and what she's looking forward to most at the Rugby Irish Association.

Tell us a wee bit about yourself?

"Family and friends are very important to me, and I've always enjoyed roles where I can support people and bring them together. I'm excited to become part of the club and get to know its members."

What was it about the steward role that made you think, 'I'd love to do that'?

"I saw it as a great opportunity to get involved and be part of something positive. The club has a strong reputation, and I was excited by the chance to help support members and contribute to its future."

What would you like members to know about you as you start this role?

"I'd like members to know that although I'm new to the club, I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. I'm approachable, open to ideas and always happy to have a chat."

How would you describe yourself in three words?

What can members expect from you as Steward?

"Members can expect someone who will listen, be approachable and do their best to support the club and its community. I'm looking forward to learning from members and working alongside them."

What are you most looking forward to as Steward?

"Getting to know the members and becoming part of the club community. I'm looking forward to supporting events, meeting new people and helping wherever I can."

As an Association, we pride ourselves on friendship, community and celebrating Irish culture in the heart of Rugby. We are delighted to have Gráinne joining the team and know she will receive a warm welcome from our members.

☘️☘️☘️ Committee Update ☘️☘️☘️

The Irish Association would like to inform members of a recent restructuring of the committee to help support the continued growth and success of the club.

Following this restructuring, the committee positions are now as follows:

☘️ Chairman – Séan Deery
☘️ Vice Chairman – Neil Merrigan
☘️ Secretary – Joel Diack
☘️ Treasurer & Events Lead – Mickey Crilly
☘️ Membership Officer – Rhi Crilly
☘️ Communications Officer – Chris Simpson
☘️ Facilities & Technology Officer – Jeremy Vinnicombe

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing Chairman, Bren Morris for his commitment, leadership and contribution to the club. We are extremely grateful for the time and effort he has dedicated to helping make the Irish Club what it is today, and we look forward to seeing him remain part of our club community as our new Honorary President.

As we continue to develop the club, we are keen to welcome more members onto the committee. We currently have opportunities for the following:

Volunteer Coordinator
Sponsorship Officer
Fundraising Coordinator.

These roles will be finalised in due course, but we would love to hear from anyone who may be interested in getting involved in the committee. The Irish Club is built by its members, and new ideas, skills and enthusiasm are always welcome. If you would like to learn more about joining the committee, please send us a message or speak to any committee member.
