We focus on stocking casks brewed within a 30 mile radius of Rugby, supported by guests and draught ciders. Available ready to drink ‘bright’ from 1 Litre to 20 Litres to enjoy at home in the micropub. SPIR

We stock a comprehensive range of spirits and liqueurs, with a particular focus on local and artisan gin.

Hellooo everyone. As you probably know, the Tap has been for sale "under the radar" as it were since the spring and I have been conversing via email with an interested party since May. It seems that they are no longer interested so it's time to put it on "general release".

Why am I selling?
Well, I have been under, and continue to be, under a lot of pressure, not least looking after my elderly parents who are becoming increasingly frail, amongst other things, this is taking my time, I am finding it difficult to juggle everything and something has to give. Unfortunately this has to be the Tap.

Background
The Rugby Tap has been running for over 12 years and before that was a bottle shop next door.
It has always been a friendly, welcoming space, which is down to the lovely clientele.
After taking it on in September 2024 after the very sad passing of Mike the previous owner, it has continued to be a popular destination, especially for real ale and craft drinkers.

Since taking it on after the incredible support of the lovely tap family it has gone from strength to strength.

The Business

The business is profitable, paying all the overheads with ease. And has lots of scope to improve revenue with more events and marketing.

The Tap is a simple to run business with easily manageable opening hours.

The sale will include, all furniture, fixtures, fittings, equipment, website, page with over 2K followers, any remaining stock 12 years of good will and I will stay in for 1 month if needed to ensure the new owner is up to speed with everything.
I will provide a list of all suppliers and introduce the new owners.

Timeline

Ideally the new owner would take over before Christmas so they can benefit from the busy Christmas period.

To be clear, I am not looking for investors, the business doesn't need a cash injection. I am looking for a dedicated owner with a passion for real ale and customer service.
