Happy Sunday morning everyone 👋🏻

Apologies for the lack of behind the scenes today for the Sunday counter. We’ve been here there and everywhere the last few days 🐝

And prioritising the bakes is always #1 🙌🏻

We had such a wonderful time at Melbourn Fete yesterday, it was so lovely to meet so many new people and lots of familiar faces too 🥰 we were so grateful for you guys clearing us out of bakes!

Big shout out to Sienna who was my right hand girl over there yesterday. While the shop was open so David could stay and make sandwiches, which sold out again, thank you so much for your support with these guys 🥹🫶🏻 we have a surprise for you next weekend on these!

Today we are open in Royston 10-2 with fresh out of the oven Cinnamon Rolls, Cookies and Pasteis de Nata plus and of course more bakes from our freshly baked menu of treats for this week. All baked from scratch, using the finest Belgian chocolate and local free range eggs.

November 2018 I had just come out of a meeting that was going to change everything for me, I was panicking as it was just before Christmas. I didn’t know what to do.

After 12 years in marketing, was I really about to leave it and go and work for myself?

I had already had plans to meet some friends for coffee and despite wanting to cancel I went anyway.

I explained what had happened and one of my friends said to me ‘sometimes Kelly, you’ve just got to jump’

That sounded very scary to me, especially having worked for companies all my life and never being self employed 🙈

But after a little break to think and plan, that’s just what I did.

And then lockdown happened a month later and oh boy that was even scarier 😂🙈

That piece of advice given to me by a wonderful friend, meant that I started on this crazy journey and never looked back.

A couple of years later I met another friend for coffee (ok I like coffee 😂) who was in practically the same boat.

I said to her ‘sometimes you just have to jump’ and you know what, she did! And she’s flourishing 🥰

She reminded me of this advice recently and I thought how lovely that we created a little chain between 3 ladies 🥹🩷

It’s never too late to change things and go for your dreams 🫶🏻

Especially if it means you get to wear pink every day and ditch the heels 🥹🩷🙊

Oh and yes I do now chase postmen down the street occasionally when I’m waiting for my cake toppers 😂🙈
