It’s been a loud one in the workshop today

Plenty of drilling, welding, cutting and sparks flying as the team cracks on with the latest builds.

Not the quietest day, but definitely a productive one.

There’s something satisfying about the sound of a busy workshop, especially when it means another catering unit is coming together piece by piece.

Another fresh build recently left the A. R. Willis workshop.

This mobile fishmonger trailer was , designed with a clean blue and white finish, striped awning and a smart retail display area for fresh fish and seafood.

Inside, the trailer has been built with a bright, easy-clean interior, stainless steel work surfaces, sink area, blue non-slip flooring and a glass display counter to present seafood professionally while keeping the serving area practical and organised.

For a fishmonger, presentation and hygiene are everything. The trailer needed to feel clean, fresh and inviting from the customer side, while still giving the operator a functional workspace behind the counter.

The finished unit gives a professional mobile retail setup ready for markets, events and regular trading spots.

A lovely clean build, and one that shows how a catering trailer can be tailored around much more than hot food. From fishmongers and butchers to bakeries, delis, coffee units and full catering setups, every business needs a layout that works for the way they trade.

A little peek behind the curtain today

The workshop has been full of measuring, cutting, fitting, drilling, lifting, adjusting, and the occasional “where’s that bit gone?”

With the heat building through the day, the guys have been starting earlier where they can to get ahead of the worst of it before the workshop turns into a tin-roofed toaster.

It’s not always the prettiest part of a build, but it’s the bit that matters. This is where your trailer slowly starts turning into a proper working business on wheels.

Fresh out of the workshop

This custom-built 16ft catering trailer has been designed to combine practicality, capacity, and visual impact.

Featuring a full-width top sign and wing boards to create its distinctive rounded appearance, the trailer offers a striking presence whether trading at festivals, markets, sporting events, or permanent locations.

Inside, the trailer is finished with stainless steel walling throughout and equipped with:

• 3 x Gas Ovens
• Commercial Coffee Machine
• Drinks Fridge
• Half Height Fridge
• Cooling Rack
• Heated Display

One of the biggest challenges with this build was designing the custom slide-out oven system. The unit needed to free up valuable workspace, allow the ovens to vent correctly, and safely support the weight of three large ovens during operation. The result is a practical solution that improves workflow while maintaining reliability during busy trading periods. (build photos at end)

Built on a galvanised chassis and designed around the customer's operation, this trailer is ready to get to work.
