Summer 😎

A time for tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines, chilled soups and (obviously) Kentucky Mushroom Burgers 🤷‍♂️

Inspired by one of our lovely customers (you know who you are) we’ve got a Gazpacho on the menu this week… fresh, ice cold and oh so summery…

In the opposite corner, our crispy oysters mushroom burger returns with a choice of three homemade sauces:
Sriracha Mayo 🌶️
Garlic & Herb 🌿 🧄
Classic Burger Sauce 🍔

And our aubergine flatbread returns - full of fresh salads, herby dressings and of course a good helping of hummus

Our final dish this week is a full celebration of all things summer - a tagine brimming with fresh summer veg, herbs, olives and preserved lemons

Open as normal, come and enjoy our lovely air conditioning from 11.45 to 2.45 Tuesday to Saturday 🥶

We were all annoyed when a certain restaurant beginning with W rolled back its plant-based promises 🤷‍♂️

And as we’re only open two nights this weekend, we’ve decided to bring you some delicious pan-Asian dishes on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd July 🍜

It’s not a set menu Supper Club this time round, you get to pick and choose as you please

Fun fact: rice provides just over 20% of global calorie intake and is one of the most widely eaten foods in ‘blue zone’ diets (the places where life expectancy is highest)…

So we’re bringing you not one but two dishes served up with rice…

First up, a rich coconut and peanut massaman curry with Thai aromatics, dark roasted spices and chunky tofu and UK grown new potatoes

And one of our most popular dishes is back - crispy shredded oyster mushrooms tossed in a five spice hoi sin sauce with spring onions, green peppers and broccoli

We were pretty quiet at lunch last week so we’ve decided that our beetroot flatbread deserves another run out - seasonal UK beets roasted with cumin and paprika and served with all our lovely salads, sauces and pickles

And another fave, Mexican Black Bean stew is also back

We’ll be closing early on Saturday for an external catering event, otherwise open as normal…

You may have noticed it’s pretty warm 😎

Bookings are open for our Italian Dinner tomorrow but we can’t afford to be open all day without any bookings (it’s just too hot to have a proper sit down lunch)….

Our staff will have a nice lie in and be ready to serve up tasty Italian treats from 6.30 🍝

When in Rome, do as the Romans do…

In Britain, that means we absolutely must moan about the weather - hot, cold, rainy, dry - it doesn’t matter, we must have a moan…

Well, we’re here to talk about food… and first up a hot weather inspired Caribbean curry full of spices, herbs and a hint of scotch bonnet chilli 🌶️

Mediterranean vibes are in our Italian inspired white bean stew and also in our roasted beetroot flatbread which has all the makings of a Turkish style kebab but without all the dead animals

And staying in that geographical area, we’ve got a Summery pie offering - filo pastry filled with creamy tahini mushrooms and walnuts served with herby potatoes and freshly sliced tomatoes

Don’t forget our vegan classics (check our previous post if you haven’t seen those yet…)
