Back from Crete... and I couldn't leave the inspiration behind. 🇬🇷🔥

The kitchen has been in overdrive this weekend!

🔥 New Project... The Tuscan Schiacciata 🇮🇹

I've been working on something a little different... an authentic Tuscan Schiacciata. Long-fermented dough, crisp golden crust, soft airy crumb, and packed with incredible fillings.

This one's loaded with slow-roasted pork, Tuscan salsa verde, Pecorino, roasted peppers, rocket, and crispy crackling... and it tastes every bit as good as it looks. 🤤

Now the question is...

Two amazing weeks in Crete, making memories, meeting some fantastic people and soaking up plenty of inspiration along the way. 🇬🇷☀️
Now it's time to get back to what I love... firing up the oven, getting the dough ready and putting a little bit of that Greek inspiration into what we do here at Cobbrox.
A break is great, but there's nothing quite like getting back in the kitchen with fresh ideas and a renewed passion.

Quality isn't a marketing slogan... it's a standard.
Today we had the privilege of visiting an olive oil producer here in Crete and seeing the entire process firsthand—from tree to bottle.
Watching the care, passion and pride that goes into producing truly exceptional extra virgin olive oil only reinforced something I've always believed...

If you're making great food, every ingredient matters.

That's why at Cobbrox, I don't cut corners. The olive oils I choose for my doughs, breads and products are always premium extra virgin and, wherever possible, organic. Because if I wouldn't proudly serve it to my own family, it won't go into my food.

Great food starts long before it reaches the oven. It starts with respecting the ingredients.
No compromises. No shortcuts. Just proper food made with proper ingredients.

🥧🍕🔥 Pies, doughs, pizzas, prep and plenty of hard graft... what a week it's been!

Everything's baked, prepped, delivered and everyone's happy. Time for me to slow down, switch off and get ready for a well-earned trip to Crete 🇬🇷. Looking forward to soaking up the food, culture and hopefully bringing back a little island inspiration for future Cobbrox creations.

Finished the week the right way this morning with a rich, indulgent Chicken & Mushroom Creamy Cobbrox Pizza... absolutely banging! 🍕👌

💪🔥 Prep day this morning!

A bit of time, a sharp knife, and a willingness to get stuck in can save you a surprising amount of money. Today it was pork loin and chicken thighs getting the Cobbrox treatment.

Buying whole cuts and doing the prep yourself isn't just cheaper – you get better quality, less waste, and complete control over what ends up on your plate.

It's amazing how much value is sitting on the shelf if you're prepared to put a little effort in. 💷👌

Now the freezer's stocked, the meals are sorted, and the wallet's a little happier!

What a night it was! The place was absolutely buzzing from start to finish, with an incredible atmosphere, great company, plenty of laughs, and of course... some banging pizzas coming out of the oven all evening! 🔥🍕

We're genuinely blown away by the support you continue to show us. Seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Thank you for supporting local businesses, local food, and our passion for creating everything from scratch.
