๐Ÿ’™ What a Weekend at BODIEโ€™S BAKES! ๐Ÿ’™

Itโ€™s been another incredibly busy weekend for our little family business, with two very special milestone birthdays keeping us on our toes! ๐ŸŽ‰

Last night we had the pleasure of creating an incredible buffet set-up for a surprise 40th birthday celebration. ๐Ÿฅ‚โœจ Thereโ€™s always something exciting about being part of a surprise, and we absolutely loved seeing this one come together.

Then it was straight back to it with a super early start this morning for a very special 80th birthday celebration, held at the familyโ€™s home. ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ’™

This morningโ€™s booking has actually been sitting in our diary for around 10 months, so it was so lovely to finally see the date arrive! When customers book with us so far in advance, you really do find yourself looking forward to their special day alongside them. ๐Ÿฅฐ

40th celebrations last night โžก๏ธ 80th celebrations this morning! From fabulous set-ups to freshly prepared homemade food, itโ€™s certainly been another weekend filled with plenty of baking, preparation and very little sleep! ๐Ÿ˜‚

But these are the weekends that remind us exactly why we love what we do. Being trusted to cater for your milestone birthdays, weddings, family gatherings and special celebrations is something we never take for granted.

Earlier in the week we had the privilege of preparing and setting up one of our homemade buffets for a family coming together to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one.

Everything was freshly prepared in our kitchen that morning before being delivered and set up

And when we say fresh, we really do mean fresh โ€” some of our homemade savouries were still warm when we arrived! ๐Ÿฅฐ
From our pastry and sausage rolls to our Scotch eggs, pork pies, quiches and so much of what you see on our buffets is lovingly made by us from scratch.

๐Ÿ’™ WHAT AN INCREDIBLY BUSY WEEK AT BODIEโ€™S BAKES! ๐Ÿ’™

Wowโ€ฆ what a week it has been! Our feet have barely touched the ground, and there certainly doesnโ€™t seem to be any sign of things slowing down!

This week alone weโ€™ve had the privilege of catering for 4 Celebration of Life/Funeral Buffets, a beautiful wedding and corporate catering โ€” all alongside the many hours of baking, cooking and preparation that happen behind the scenes.

๐Ÿค Having four funeral buffets in one week really reminds us just how much trust families place in us during one of the most difficult times in their lives. We never take that responsibility lightly, and it is always a privilege to be chosen to provide the catering for a loved oneโ€™s farewell.

Weโ€™ve also been out and about this week, with two of our catering jobs taking us over to Doncaster. ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ’™

A little reminder that BODIEโ€™S BAKES doesnโ€™t just cater in Rotherham! We regularly travel throughout the surrounding areas for weddings, celebrations, corporate catering and Celebration of Life buffets.

As a small family-run business, weeks like this mean early mornings, late nights and a lot of teamwork, but seeing each buffet leave our kitchen and knowing weโ€™ve played a small part in so many important occasions makes it completely worthwhile.

We did things a little differently today and served the buffet on traditional platter trays rather than our oh-so-popular grazing table set-ups โ€” and we absolutely loved how it came together!

Everything was freshly prepared and homemade with care, ready for everyone to tuck in and enjoy while celebrating such a special day. ๐Ÿฅชโœจ
