👀 THE NEW LOOK COLIN IS COMING SOON! 🍻

We’ve been listening to your comments, and there are a few changes coming! 👀

Some things are being laid to rest ⚰️ while some old favourites are making a very welcome return.

The refurb is well underway and we’re working hard to bring back the proper community pub that Kimberworth knows and loves — with a fresh new look. 💚

Good beer, live sport, quiz nights and good times are on the way. 🍺⚽️

🔧 INTRODUCING… TRADIE IN THE SPOTLIGHT 🔧

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing some of the brilliant trades and businesses helping us bring The Colin back to life! 🍻

We’ll be featuring 2–3 of our tradies each week, showing you who’s involved and what they’re working on.

And who better to kick things off than someone who already knows The Colin very well…

Dave from Refresh AV originally installed the audio visual system at The Colin back in 2008!

It’s served the pub well, but 18 years later technology has moved on… so it’s definitely time for an upgrade! 😂📺

We’ve worked with Dave for years across our pubs and he’s always been incredibly helpful, reliable and, most importantly, knows his stuff. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

Now Dave is back at The Colin, bringing the AV system right up to date and making sure the HOME OF SPORT is ready for live sport, big match days and a brilliant atmosphere when we reopen. ⚽📺🍻

🔨 THE REFURB IS UNDERWAY AT THE COLIN! 🍻

We’re only a couple of days in and the hard work has well and truly started!

Floors are being tackled, walls are being stripped, old cables are coming out and our tradies are getting stuck into the jobs that need doing. 🔨🪚

At this stage it’s all about stripping things back, repairing what needs repairing and getting everything ready for the exciting bits to begin.

There’s a LOT still to do over the next few weeks, but we’re making progress and it’s great to finally have the refurb underway.

We’ll keep sharing updates as the work continues — before long you’ll start to see the new-look Colin taking shape! 👀💚

Over the next few weeks, The Colin will be transformed inside and out. We’ll be keeping the character of a proper community local while giving the pub the fresh start it deserves.

🔑 MEET YOUR NEW LANDLORD & LANDLADY 🍻

After a very competitive interview process, including a late entry to the shortlist, the decision has been made…

Unfortunately, Charlie Robinson didn’t quite get the job! 😂 But Charlie, there’s a gallon of beer waiting behind the bar for you on opening weekend 🍺🍺🍺

We’re delighted to introduce Paul & Claire Scott, who’ll be taking the reins at The Colin when we reopen!

Paul and Claire are certainly no strangers to The Colin — they previously ran the pub 15 years ago.

They’re local to Kimberworth, proud Rotherham United fans ⚽ and, most importantly, they know exactly how much this pub means to the community.

They share our vision of bringing back The Colin we all know and love — a welcoming, traditional community pub where you can enjoy a good pint, watch the live sport and feel at home. ❤️🍻

Paul and Claire are absolutely buzzing to get started and can’t wait to welcome you all back through the doors!
