⚽️ WHAT YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR… ⚽️
There’s a BIG match this Saturday, and I think I’ve been asked the same question about a hundred times…
“ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED IN?”
After a lot of thought, the answer is…
✅ YES Under 18s will be allowed in.
I was genuinely in two minds about it, but one thing kept coming back to me.
Back in 2002, I remember sitting in the Royal Oak with my family watching England in the World Cup. Then again during Euro 2004 at the Fullerton. Those are memories that have stayed with me all these years, even if I can’t remember what I had for breakfast yesterday!
Hopefully, years from now, some of you younger supporters will look back and remember watching England at The Lord Reresby too. ❤️🤍
❗️HOWEVER, PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY❗️
This is not an invitation to use the pub as a babysitting service.
👨👩👧👦 Parents and guardians are fully responsible for their children at all times. Children must stay with you throughout the match. When the final whistle blows, all children must leave the premises, including the entrance and beer garden.
This is expected to be our busiest game yet, with lots of people, plenty of cheering and an incredible atmosphere.
Because of that, I’d honestly recommend arranging a babysitter for younger children if possible, as it may be overwhelming for them.
We’ll be keeping an eye on things throughout the evening. If children are left unsupervised or start running around, we’ll have no choice but to review this decision immediately.
The safety of everyone, especially the children, comes first.
We’d love families to experience this special occasion together. After all, these tournaments only come around every four years, and they create memories that last a lifetime.
Let’s all do our bit to make it a fantastic day for everyone.
See you Saturday.
