This is a rare post and rant but we have found ourselves absolutely baffled today by the sheer rudeness of some people over something so small as having sold out of chips.

As all of our lovely customers know, we do not profess to be a chippy or mcdonalds. We don’t even sell chips meals, they are an add on side. But, yet, what is people’s obsession with a fried potato?!

Having being told today, it is “disgusting” and a “management issue” that we’d sold out of such a “basic” item as we “don’t exactly have people queuing out of the door” (to justify having sold out)… I can’t get my breath!!

We have a small kitchen & small storage, we do try and cater for all but as to ensure we don’t have unnecessary waste, we don’t buy in volume. If we sell out of an item, it is because we have genuinely sold out irrespective of how many people are in the cafe when you come in & should you find yourself disappointed in this, please do not abuse or be rude to our hardworking lovely members of staff.
