🌟 Love Where You Live ~ Dearne Community Arts Festival 2026 🌟

We’re so proud of our village. Some people might pull it down and say there’s nothing here, but they’re wrong. There are some absolutely awesome people who graft behind the scenes to make things like this happen for everyone 💪💛

Julie pours her heart into this event every single year, she goes above and beyond, and you can really feel the passion she has for bringing art, creativity and community together 🎨✨

We’ve purchased some of their cloth tote bags to support their fundraising and have been gifting them to our regulars (because honestly… who doesn’t love a reusable bag 😍🛍️).

I have no idea what happened. It was like a bus trip Just dropped outside but it happened every 10 minutes... all day ! 🤣🤣

Luckily we had our secret weapon working today. The fastest chip wrapper in the world .... our Paula Bles 🥰

I do love a zero waste day tho !!
Not only is wasting food really bad for the environment. It's also really bad for everyones pockets because that waste costs money to get rid of too.

So a big huge thank you to everyone who came and waited really patiently while we cooked everything freshly in front of you 😊
At one point the friar was screaming and we had to stop for a few minutes to refill the fat 🤣🤣

I have started my Christmas list already and I'm asking for another fryer, an extra pair of hands each and a bit more room in the chippy 🤣🤣🤣

At JJ’s Chippy, our people come first, always.
We’re a family business with family values, and giving our staff time with their children is more important to us than staying open for profit.
So after 7:30pm tonight, we’re closing for the whole Bank Holiday weekend.

Thank you so much for understanding & for supporting us all year round, your kindness makes our little business feel like a true part of the community!

There was a queue, but he frightened them away 🫣
He wanted Green Eggs & Ham but we were all out
He wasn't happy about that
Until we talked him into Long Fish & Short Chips
With lashings of S&V

No scraps though
He says they stick to his whiskers

Brooke said he scared her and she hid in the back 🤣
