Well… look at this being all professional with the new business cards! 😏☕️

The trailer might be in for some much-needed repairs, but that doesn’t mean the grind stops.

✔️ Business cards? Done.
✔️ Stickers? On the way.
✔️ Trailer signage? In the making.
✔️ About a million parcels arriving daily? Also yes. 😂📦

Keep pushing forward… and I promise it’ll be worth the wait. 🤎☕️

This isn’t the update I was hoping to share… 💔☕

After having the trailer properly inspected, we’ve found more issues underneath than we ever imagined. As disappointing as it is, the trailer simply isn’t safe to tow, which means I’ve had to cancel our first event on 26th July.

I’m absolutely gutted. We were so excited to finally open the hatch and meet so many of you.

But if there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s that setbacks happen. I’d much rather take a little longer, get everything done properly, and open knowing Gather & Grind is safe and built to last.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported us so far, and a huge thank you to for being so honest and helpful throughout.

This isn’t the end—it’s just a little bump in the road.

I’ll keep going, keep working hard, and I’ll be back with an opening date as soon as I can. 🤎☕

With notes of milk chocolate, caramel and red berries, it’s beautifully smooth, perfectly balanced and seriously delicious.

Not the most glamorous part of the journey, but these are the jobs that get us closer to opening the hatch and serving our first coffee.

Quality control is a tough job… but someone’s got to do it. 😏🍪🤎

A little baking practice while we count down to launch! Brown butter cookies and brownies have been keeping family, friends and colleagues well fed while we test recipes and get everything just right.

A huge thank you to Ben at Harmony Coffee Roasters for such an insightful afternoon! ☕️🤎

We learnt so much about the journey of coffee - from how it’s grown and roasted to why every coffee has its own unique flavour, with and without milk. We even got a little taster of barista training too!

As we’re building Gather & Grind, we want to understand coffee from the ground up so we can serve the very best cup possible.

Thank you again, Ben, for sharing your knowledge and genuine passion for coffee. It was an afternoon we’ll definitely remember!✨

Expectation: Turn on the generator, test the electrics - the lights, the fridge and the hot water. 💡🥛✨

Reality: Hook up the battery, top off the oil, fill the petrol, hear that beautiful engine roar… and immediately realise the trailer plug doesn’t even fit the socket. 🫠

At this rate, the coffee trailer is less of a business venture and more of an ongoing comedy sketch. Just another day, another riddle to solve! 🎬⚡️

Anyone got a spare adapter, or should we just start serving cold brew out of a bucket? 🙋‍♂️🪣

This week’s recap ☕️

Plenty of behind-the-scenes progress, even if it doesn’t look very exciting on camera.

Insurance sorted, safety systems in place, trailer jobs underway and a growing to-do list that’s slowly getting shorter 😂

There’s a lot more to starting a coffee business than making coffee, but every little job gets us closer to launch day.
