Absolutely fantastic and thank you to everyone that came to the coffee morning for an excellent cause
Thank you
๐ An incredible ยฃ1,478.20 raised at our Palliative Care Week Coffee Morning! โ๐
Following yesterdayโs wonderful Palliative Care Week Coffee Morning at the Kilbroney Bar & Restaurant in Rostrevor, we are delighted to announce that an amazing ยฃ1,478.20 was raised for Life & Time.
The morning was about bringing our community together to talk openly about Palliative and End-of-Life Care as part of this yearโs โItโs Not What You Thinkโ campaign โ and the support we received was simply fantastic.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Angela and Paul Hagerty at the Kilbroney bar and restaurant for making the morning possible, and to Mary, Brighdin, Tracey, Ciaran and Tommy, along with the chefs and bar staff, who so generously gave their time and expertise.
A huge thank you also to our wonderful bakers Leon Farrell, Veronica Rowland and Suzanne McEvoy, and to everyone else who contributed to the incredible spread of scones, buns, traybakes and treats. โ๐ฐ
Congratulations to our raffle winners: Paula Cole, who won the flower arrangement kindly donated by Geraldine Rea; Tony Williamson, who won the Halloween decoration, also donated by Geraldine; and Thomas Parr, winner of the hamper kindly donated by Connie Connolly.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came through the doors, made a donation, enjoyed a cuppa and helped make the morning such a success. Raising ยฃ1,478.20 is a fantastic achievement, and those funds will directly support our work caring for local patients and families.
As a small token of our appreciation, Dr Henry McLaughlin, Medical Director and Founder of Life & Time, presented Angela with a gift on behalf of the charity โ a very small way of saying a very big thank you. ๐
What a wonderful example of our community coming together โ not only to raise funds, but to have an important conversation about Palliative and End-of-Life Care.
Thank you all, ยฃ1,478.20 raised โ and a conversation we hope will continue long beyond Palliative Care Week.
