🐾 A LITTLE WISH LIST LOVE FOR OUR CATS 🐾

We’ve had a few lovely people ask if there’s anything they can buy for the Paws for Thought cats, so we thought we’d share our Amazon Wish List! 🥹🐱

We’ve popped together a list of some of the bits we regularly use and would love to have — from cat treats and toys to practical everyday essentials. 🐾

If you fancy treating our furry residents to a little something, you can choose anything from the list and have it sent directly to the café. ❤️

Every single item, big or small, makes a difference and is VERY much appreciated by us and the cats! 🐾

And, of course, there is absolutely no pressure whatsoever — simply sharing this post helps us too. 🥰

Thank you, as always, for being such an amazing part of our Paws for Thought family. ❤️

🐾 8 YEARS OF PAWS FOR THOUGHT 🐾

Tomorrow marks 8 years since I opened the doors to Paws for Thought Cat Café. ❤️

Eight years… I honestly don’t know where the time has gone.

I opened the café 8 years ago, but I certainly haven’t done this journey alone. My mum, Angela (or simply Mum to most of you 😂), has been by my side from the very beginning. Through the good days, the difficult days, the early mornings, the long days, the cats, the customers and everything in between. 🐱❤️

And somewhere along the way, she became just as much a part of Paws for Thought as I am. So many of you come in and ask if Mum is working, and I know how much you all love her. 🥹

We’ve had 8 years of cats, coffee, cake, friendships, laughter, challenges, memories and so much love. I’m incredibly proud of what this little café has become and of all the wonderful people who have been part of it along the way.

So tomorrow, Mum and I will both be in the café working, and if you’d like to pop in and raise a coffee, a slice of cake (or perhaps a glass of something!) with us to celebrate our 8th birthday, we’d absolutely love to see you. 🎂☕🐾

Thank you to every single person who has supported Paws for Thought over the last 8 years. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or found us last week, you’ve helped make this place what it is. ❤️

8 years. 🥹🐾
Thank you for being part of our story.

Come and celebrate with us tomorrow! 🎉🐱

🐾 A little clarification from us… ❤️

We’ve heard that some people have been saying that Paws for Thought Cat Café is closing down — so we wanted to clear this up properly, as that isn’t what our recent post meant at all!

Paws for Thought is NOT closing. 🐱❤️

We are very much here, open as usual and looking forward to continuing to welcome you, our lovely customers, and of course our cats.

A little while ago, we shared that we were putting some feelers out to see whether the right person might be interested in taking over the café in the future. This was simply the beginning of exploring what our options might look like. Nothing is happening immediately, nothing has been decided, and there is certainly no closing date.

If, at some point in the future, the right person came along and it felt like the right thing for Paws for Thought, there is the possibility that it could continue under new ownership. But the café itself is not going anywhere.

And one thing that is really important to us is that, whatever the future looks like, we want Paws for Thought to continue as the calm, cosy cat café that you all know and love — with our wonderful team, our lovely customers and the same heart behind it. ❤️

So, if you’ve heard that we’re closing… you haven’t! 😹

We’re still here. We’re still doing what we do. The cats are still running the place. And we have lots more cuddles, coffees, cake and cat chaos to come! 🐾☕🍰

Thank you, as always, for all the love and support you show us. It genuinely means the world. ❤️

Paws for Thought isn’t closing — we’re simply exploring what the future might look like.

🖤 Black cats don’t photograph well… 🖤

Well, we’re going to put that right! 😻

Black cats have a reputation for being tricky to photograph, but we think they’re some of the most beautiful cats around — especially when they’re showing off those gorgeous eyes! ✨

So here’s our beautiful Luna, proving that black cats can absolutely be the stars of the camera. 📸🖤

We might be biased… but just look at her! 😍🐾

🎃🐾 Summer may be winding down… but here at Paws for Thought, we’re already brewing up something spook-tacular! 👻🐱
Think pumpkins, black cats (we’ve got plenty 😉), and a cosy café full of treats (no tricks!). 🍰☕
Keep your eyes peeled – our Halloween plans are creeping closer, and we can’t wait to share them with you… 🕷️🖤

ROMSEY FOOD FESTIVAL IS TOMORROW! 🐾

Just a little heads-up if you’re visiting us at Paws for Thought tomorrow! 🐱

The Romsey Food Festival is taking place in town, so it’s likely to be busier than usual, with more traffic and parking potentially being a little trickier.

Please allow a little extra time for your journey so you don’t feel rushed getting here. 🚗

We can’t wait to see you 🐾🐱☕️

🐾 Just to clarify… we’re NOT closing! 🐾

Following our recent post, we’ve noticed a few people have understandably read it as though Paws for Thought is closing soon — so we just wanted to clear that up. ❤️

Paws for Thought is very much open and it’s business as usual! ☕🐱

The post was simply about exploring what the future might look like. After nearly 8 years of pouring our hearts into the café, I’ve been thinking about the possibility of a change in lifestyle at some point, and whether there might be someone out there who would love Paws for Thought as much as we do and potentially take it on in the future.

There is no imminent closure and no definite decision has been made. We’re simply putting some feelers out there and seeing if the right person, or the right opportunity, comes along.

For now, you’ll still find us here doing what we love — looking after our cats, welcoming you through the doors and enjoying everything that makes Paws for Thought so special. 🐾❤️

If you’ve ever dreamed of running a cat café, or know someone who might be interested in taking on something really special in the future, then we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you, as always, for all your love and support. It means more than you know. ❤️

The Future of Paws for Thought… 🐾

Paws for Thought has been such a huge part of my life since opening in 2018. I’ve poured an enormous amount of love, time and energy into creating what it is today, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved.

After a lot of thought and an opportunity for a personal lifestyle change, I’m considering the prospect of selling our much-loved café.

Before we advertise more widely, we wanted to come to the people who know and love the café most…..you!

If you’ve ever visited Paws for Thought over the years and thought, “I’d love to do something like this one day,” or know anyone who has, we’d love to hear from you.

The cats will be coming with me and continuing their next chapter as part of our family, but we’d love to see the café, community and brand continue for many years to come.

We’re not looking to hand over just a business. We’d be handing over a well-established operation with a loyal customer base, recognised brand and all the systems in place for someone to hit the ground running.

To make this transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible, I’d personally be happy to dedicate my time to helping and supporting the new owner as they settle into the business.

This isn’t an announcement that Paws for Thought is closing and nothing is set in stone. It’s simply us looking into our future and reaching out to our wonderful followers first to see if the right person might already be a part of our community.

If this sounds like something you might genuinely be interested in, please send me a private message and we can have a confidential chat.

Thank you!! ❤️

🎉🐾 And the winner is… 🐾🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who entered our raffle and helped support our resident cats. ❤️

Your generosity has helped us towards some significant veterinary costs, including Kiki’s ongoing treatment for inflammatory gut disease, Mercury’s recent dental surgery, and the routine healthcare our cats need.

We’re so incredibly grateful for every donation and every share.

🎥 Watch the video below to see the winning name being drawn!

Congratulations to our lucky winner! 🥳

Thank you again for supporting our little cat family. We couldn’t do it without you. ❤️🐈
