The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as and , hospitality communities like , and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.

Last summer Gina undertook 2 Macmillan Cancer Mighty Hikes, one with friends in Norfolk and one with her sisters and nieces on Jurassic Coast. In total we were delighted to raise over £6,000 across both hikes, in no short part due to the generosity of our customers.

Gina, Lorna and their two sisters, Juila and Victoria will be taking on another Mighty Hike on Saturday 13 June, this time the Thames Walk, starting in Windsor and travelling west alongside the Thames.

I am attaching the link to Gina's page but it also shows details for the pages for the 3 sisters, under the Our Team button. Any contribution would be gratefully received to boost us on our way. There is also a paper sign up sponsorship form on the noticeboard at the pub.
