We would like to give a BIG shoutout of thanks to Paula and the team at Rochdale Masonic Hall for the generous buffet donation.

We where thrilled with it and we are sure our service users will also have enjoyed it in their Monday bags.

Monday - any time between 2:00pm and 7:00pm
Friday - any time between 2:00pm and 7:00pm

The Soup Kitchen were honoured to show the Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Janet Emsley and her Consort Ken around our service and highlight the things we do.
Both Vida and Marilyn were thrilled to receive certificates from the Mayor for their outstanding services to the Rochdale community.

Did You Know...
At The Soup Kitchen we are supported weekly by our local Asda team in Rochdale.

We are so lucky that we have a team of volunteer drivers who pick up the donations for us.

Working together as part of Asda's Community Social Value and sustainable practice (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) means that together we can strive to reduce food waste, strengthen community connections, create a stable and reliable source of food and toiletries and also ensure that the items are used for those in need in this ever changing Cost of living crisis.

Slight adjustments at home can make life just that bit easier and more comfortable.

We want to provide grant funding to Rochdale residents who need a medical aid, maybe a kitchen appliance or chair raisers that offer that little helping hand!

SOUP KITCHEN SHOUT OUT -Can you help??
New Year....New Volunteer drivers needed!
We are 100% run and managed by a team of AMAZING volunteers.
We have an ever increasing demand for our service at The Soup Kitchen, and we are so lucky that we have an increase in businesses supporting us.
BUT -We need Volunteers to collect food items for us.

DRIVERS ROLES NEEDED are below - please be aware these collections involve lifting and handling, are on a voluntary basis and you must be a fully insured and responsible driver.
IF YOU WOULD BE AVAILABLE ON AN AD-HOC BASIS TO COVER ANY OF THE BELOW COLLECTIONS BUT NOT THE SET ROTA TO COVER HOLIDAYS AND SICKNESS -THAT WOULD ALSO BE REALLY APPRECIATED. Please get in touch

Marks & Spencer, Riverside Rochdale- Monday 6.30 pm on our rota every four weeks. Need two people.

Marks & Spencer, Riverside Rochdale - Wednesday 6.30pm collection. On our rota every four weeks. One person.

(Big) Asda Rochdale every Monday- Collection between 2pm and 7pm. One Person - or can share the voluntary role

Greggs Kingsway (near the Range)- Wednesday- 6pm collection. On our rota every four weeks. One person.

Marks & Spencer, Riverside Rochdale - Friday 6.30 pm collection. On our rota every four weeks. One person.

Tesco (Sudden). Tuesday Approx 9.15pm-9.30 pm collection. One person. On our rota every four weeks.

Greggs Rochdale Riverside. Monday 7pm. Three people needed. On our rota every four weeks.

Without these collections - we simply cannot sustain our food distribution to our Soup Kitchen service users.
