A proper Lancashire classic and exactly the sort of hearty, comforting food we're craving as the evenings get colder.
Served alongside another proper pub favourite, Sausage and Mash.
Autumn at Owd Betts has officially begun.

It's the views.
It's the old building.
It's the people who have been coming here for years.
It's meeting someone who's never been before and watching them discover the place.
And it's knowing that after more than 200 years, this little pub is still here on the moors, welcoming people through the door. ❤️

“Eight children… and a pub to run!”

John and Betty Ashworth (Owd Bett) had EIGHT children.

Imagine running a pub while bringing up eight children! And we thought it was tough with two!😂

Several generations of the Ashworth family went on to run Owd Betts.
This place really was a family business long before the phrase was invented.

This is the view surrounding Owd Betts — and we never really get tired of it.
Moorland, open skies, the reservoir and those views.
