❤️ HELLO, JAFLONG CURRY LOVERS!

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you’re all doing well and keeping healthy.

First of all, a massive THANK YOU to our wonderful Ripon community for your continued love and support. 👏❤️ We truly appreciate every one of you!

As we proudly continue our journey as an award-winning Bangladeshi restaurant in Ripon, we’re excited to introduce our NEW JAFLONG MENU — bringing together the best of Bangladeshi flavours and Indian cuisine! 🍛🔥

We’ve added some exciting new starters and delicious dishes for all our Jaflong lovers to explore. Our spices are bold, our flavours are rich, and every dish has its own unique character.

😅 A FEW FUNNY MOMENTS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS!

🌶️ 1. “I LOVE THE HEAT!”

Sometimes I see customers sweating while enjoying their Madras. So I politely ask, “How’s your food? Would you like me to make it a little milder?”

They look at me and say, “No, no! I love the heat!” 🤪😂

And I’m standing there thinking… Are you sure you’re enjoying your dinner or fighting with it? Hahaha!

🥥 2. “I WANT A SPICY KORMA, BUT I DON’T LIKE SPICE!”

Customer: “Hello, I’d like a Korma, please, but make it spicy. However, I don’t really like spices.”

Me: 😐😳

Honestly, sometimes I get so confused that I’m scared to go into the kitchen and explain the order to the chef! Hahaha! 😂

🔥 3. INTRODUCING OUR NEW AMIR HOT SHOT CURRY!

Our new Amir Hot Shot Curry is getting people talking! Some customers start turning pink or red as they enjoy the heat. 🌶️🥵

I look at them and think, “Are you enjoying the curry, or is the curry winning the battle?” 🤣🤣

But the best part? They keep coming back for more!

❤️ YOUR NEW MENU IS HERE!

Whether you love a mild, creamy curry, a rich and aromatic Bangladeshi dish, or something seriously hot and spicy, there’s something for you to discover at Jaflong.

And please, DON’T BE SHY TO ASK! 😊

I’ll be more than happy to explain our dishes, the special ingredients we use, and what makes each curry unique. Our team will always do their best to help you choose something you’ll love.

Thank you once again, Ripon, for being part of our Jaflong family. Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to welcoming you soon!

Lots of love from all of us at JAFLONG! ❤️🍛

Hope you’re all keeping well. ❤️

Firstly, thank you so much for all your continued support. We have now updated our menu and added some exciting new Bangladeshi-flavoured dishes and starters for you to try. 🇧🇩🍛

We also have plenty of gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options available. Just let us know what you need — our team will be more than happy to help and guide you as much as possible.

We’ve been extremely busy recently with the races and several special occasions, and we’re truly sorry if we couldn’t accommodate you on some occasions. As you know, we are a small, cosy restaurant with limited space, so sometimes we simply run out of tables.

But honestly, the amount of love and support we receive from the curry lovers of Ripon is unbelievable. ❤️🙏 It means so much to all of us at Jaflong, and we are genuinely grateful.

📢 A few tables have become available tonight due to a large group cancellation!

🦌❤️ A PLACE CALLED STUDLEY — MORE THAN JUST A CRICKET GROUND ❤️🦌

There is a beautiful place called Studley — a place that holds so many memories for me. I played there for nearly four years, and I truly loved the ground and the people.

Studley is different. It’s not just a place where you go to play cricket. You can enjoy the beautiful views, the weather, the peaceful surroundings — and even watch the deer while you play! 🦌🏏

Trust me, you never get bored at Studley. It has a feeling that is difficult to explain, but easy to remember.

❤️ THIS SATURDAY, LET’S SUPPORT STUDLEY ❤️

Next Saturday, we will be providing catering for Studley Cricket Club as part of their fundraising efforts to help rebuild the club and bring this beautiful place back to life.

The club is charging just £15 per person for the food, and I truly believe many of us can spend a few hours there and support a place that means so much to so many people.

Why not come along, enjoy some good food, meet old friends and support Studley Cricket Club? 🙏

Every bit of support will help towards rebuilding the club, so that the children can get back out there and start playing again. 🏏❤️

I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone there and sharing another special day at Studley.

Let’s come together and support our beautiful club. ❤️

See you all on Saturday!
Thank you for your support. 🙏🏏🦌

🔥🏆 BREAKING NEWS! WE ARE WINNERS! 🏆🔥
We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to announce that JAFLONG INDIAN & BANGLADESHI RESTAURANT has been named BEST BANGLADESHI RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR at the 15th Annual English Curry Awards 2026! 🤩🏅🎉
What an incredible moment! Standing on that stage, holding the award, I was honestly speechless. I didn’t know what to say or how to explain what I was feeling.
My biggest wish at that moment was that my father was still alive so I could share this wonderful news with him. Life doesn’t always give us the people we wish could be there for our biggest moments, but I know he would have been incredibly proud. ❤️
This award belongs to all of us. We are so proud of everyone who has been part of the Jaflong journey — our amazing and loyal customers who have become part of the JAFLONG FAMILY, and our incredible team.
A very special thank you to Shawon, Amir, Parvin, Leikken, and of course our fantastic kitchen team, whose magic hands and dedication make every dish special. ❤️🌶️
Without your hard work, passion and commitment, this achievement would not have been possible.
🙏 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who nominated and supported Jaflong.
And a huge thank you to the Ripon community for coming together, celebrating with us and continuing to support our restaurant. Your support means more than you know. ❤️
