When we removed the bar last year, it gave us the space to create our new cosy corner and continue developing Ty Morgans as a daytime dining space.

But we also know that sometimes itโ€™s nice to enjoy a drink alongside lunch, especially when youโ€™re catching up with friends or taking a little more time over your visit.

Following the popularity of our licensed offering at Ty Penbont, weโ€™ve decided to bring a selection of alcoholic drinks back to Ty Morgans.

From this week, you can add a chilled beer, cider, ale or glass of wine to your lunch, or simply enjoy a drink while catching up with friends.

The bar might be gone, but having a drink at Tyโ€™s is officially back. ๐Ÿฅ‚

On Saturday 22nd August, the Lloyds Tour of Britain Womenโ€™s event will roll through Rhayader and out into the Elan Valley, and weโ€™re gearing up for a busy day at Ty Morgans.

Our location next to the town clock puts us in a great spot to catch the action twice, with the riders expected to pass at approximately 11:20am and again at 12:05pm.

Ty Morgans will be open from 8am, giving you plenty of time for breakfast before the first sighting, then lunch, coffee or cake as the action continues through town.

Save the date and join us in town for what should be a brilliant day for Rhayader. ๐Ÿšด

Alongside our newer menu additions, youโ€™ll still find all the staple dishes that have been favourites at Ty Morgans for years.

Our lunch options on the menu are available from 11:30am, 7 days a week with our brunch options available from 8am every day.

Last night saw the annual Gwastedyn Hill Race, with competitors taking on the climb in some seriously warm conditions. A huge well done to everyone who took part.

Tonight itโ€™s World Championship Wednesday, and weโ€™ll be out on the streets with our station as part of the famous Wheelbarrow Race. Be sure to keep an eye out as the teams make their way around town!

Whether youโ€™re racing, cheering from the sidelines, or recovering from the celebrations, donโ€™t forget to refuel. Weโ€™re open every day from 8am, serving everything from high protein breakfasts to filling brunch and lunch options, alongside Hard Lines Coffee to help you get ready for another day of Carnival Week.

We were in after hours last night giving our counter area a deep clean and making a few subtle changes to freshen things up.
