The First In A NEW Series - Spotlight On...

We really wanted to the take the time to re-introduce you to some brews that you may be overlooking. With such a great range it is easy to miss what is already right in front of you.

Today, we take a moment to re-discover SAXON, our delicious 5.2% Wheat Beer.

Saxon is a true nod to the Pilgrim wheat beer of the past – ‘Springbock’ - which won the inaugural UK wheat beer challenge in 2000. Still brewed to the same original gravity, same hop variety and as light and effervescent as before. Saxon is a Hefeweizen (meaning yeast-wheat in German), where a significant portion of malted barley is replaced with malted wheat, in this case over 50%, it’s true to style.

Hefeweizens are popular across Germany and should be enjoyed in a tall glass whilst observing the straw-amber hue as the spring sunshine glistens through. Saxon, “your thirst fought everyday”.

🍺 Back in March, we had Ben from Muntons Malt come down to the brewery and get stuck in with the boys for a brew day to remember! 🙌

With John’s recipe and Ben’s expert knowledge of ingredients, the perfect 0.5% Hazy APA was born 🍻✨

⏩ Fast forward to June… and it’s finally here!

From grain to glass, it’s been a brilliant collaboration and we couldn’t be happier with the result 🍺
