RENOVATION UPDATE 🪄

A little behind the scenes from some recent improvements we have made at Nisou over the past few weeks.

The changes are all about our people, which starts always with our guests and our team.
As you already know we are passionate about offering our guests the most authentic experiences we can through our Cypriot hospitality and our incredible home made dishes. The changes are more about comfort and visual for our guests and operationally for our team.

This is the start of our mission to stick to our roots, home in on our WHY and deliver an experience where you feel loved every single time!

THATS A WRAP!

Some weekly highlights this week! Trying to capture more of the things that happen behind the scenes and in our day to day lives at Nisou.

No day is the same! Hospitality is so many different pockets of moments that are special and new!

Let’s start the round up:

-A card, a note and thank you from one of our most favourite guests we have. They hosted their daughter’s 1st birthday with us and dropped this round for us. It’s this sort of stuff that is the ‘sweet’ spot of WHY we do what we do.

-Had to get a video of our neighbours dog taking in some morning sunshine! A little warmth of happiness on a Tuesday morning!

-Went to mums on Friday evening to pick up some bits and walked into this! The set up of how our napkins get washed, dried and ironed ready for the next day! These are the things that make Nisou tick!

-Had a neighbour come by and said that he had a wine fridge that they got brand new and never use! Would we like it? Oh yes we would! Asked a good friend for some help to get it down the road and this was his contribution! Make of that what you will…

-The new wine fridge, stocked, chilling and looking part of the Nisou set up already! Another indication of being in and part of a community. Village life in Cyprus is the same and I can feel the connection we have here in Reigate the same!

-When you are finishing a long day at work and walk into the kitchen to find your chef making flatbreads ready for the weekend as we were let down by our Cypriot supplier! Commitment and love.

🇨🇾 Some weeks feel different to others 🇨🇾

A few behind the scenes clips from this week. It’s been another huge week in the world of Nisou.
Sometimes it’s hard to capture all the little things you see and you certainly don’t capture how you feel but on reflection today, last week was pretty special.

Here is some of the little clips we took:

-The sunshine means one thing.. Frappe! The real taste of Cyprus is sometimes going to a local bakery, getting a frappe and sitting in the morning sunshine!

-Thursday our amazing kitchen team cooked for 180 people at a local business. 180 people, 2 floors and a LOT food.

-Two photos of our amazing new supplier . A local collaboration with a regular guest who’s family own the business. Peppers the size of a head, high quality milk and high quality veg! Feels like Cyprus where fresh and daily is always the way.

-Spent my break on Saturday afternoon in priory park, with a Nisou flat white and a sun set. Taking in slow moments and gratitude.

-Welcomed the man behind our coffee at Nisou in for his birthday celebration! He loved our wine as much as we love his coffee

-Our mother’s Day menu was that good but also that big that we ended up boxing up a lot of food for our guests to take home with them. This is also very common at Yia Yia’s! Something to always take away.

-Finished the week off with a roast with mum

I can’t put into words the appreciation I have for each visit you make, each comment you send or a post you like.

🌷 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY 🌷

Mum, not really sure where to start to be honest. I will try and keep it sort and sweet. Firstly i just want to say thank you. The lessons you have taught me, the things you have shown me, have shaped me being where I am today.

Seeing you carry 3 jobs taught me that hard work is important in anything you do. Go all in, do what you have to do, no time to moan.

I remember when I first spoke about opening Nisou, you said to me about picturing yourself at the front of the restaurant, with a glass of wine and having a natter. It’s been anything but for you. There is something about you that always is going to be all in, working hard and doing what needs to be done.

Helping washing up on a busy evening shift, washing and ironing all of our napkins, doing our deliveries daily from local suppliers, helping at catering events.. the list goes on.
The day before Mother’s Day, you were in our kitchen prepping potatoes for our guests.

Truth is, without what you do Nisou would be a lot more hard work than it is.

Thank you for all you do to make Nisou the home it is today ♥️

🌷 MOTHERS DAY 2026 🌷

This Mother’s Day we are opening our doors to what matters most to us at Nisou and that’s family.

Mums come in different ways. Some are dog mums, some are human mums and some are like mums to us. No matter who you are celebrating this year, let us make it special for you.
We have a passion for hosting, bringing people together and connecting. Connecting through stories, memories and of course food cooked with love.

My mum who is a huge part of Nisou and how we operate, makes us who we are today. Tireless picking up from suppliers, washing dishes, sanding down tables (photo attached), trying on our hats (photo also attached), washing and ironing our napkins and much more!

Let’s also not forget our Yia Yia, who raised 5 children in no easy times! She continues to inspire us all ♥️

We can’t wait to host this for you and your special mums!

Celebrate a loved one with us at Nisou! Love is the centre of everything our story stands for.
Our Yia Yia does it all because of love. Her love for family, friends, community and food is the soul reason for our existence!

Although our valentines menu is a little later to be released our demand has been incredibly high and we are so excited to host for you and your loved one.

It’s the time of year where you are ready to celebrate the passing year and welcome in a new chapter!
What better way to reminisce than over a home cooked meal with us at Nisou?!

We have an amazing 4 course menu with a welcome drink which celebrates our favourite dishes of 2025.

We are offering two sittings, one earlier and one slightly later so you are able to spend a pre-midnight countdown with those that you love the most.

Imagine an early knock at your bedroom door, with the words ‘Kalimera, breakfast is ready’
Well this is how I woke up each morning when visiting my Yia Yia’s.

Jumping out of bed, to the smell of home made toast being prepared and the hustle and bustle of the kitchen as breakfast is being prepared is just the exact reason why breakfast at Nisou is a big deal!
