The Rowbarge A truly characterful English pub serving fresh food, cask ales and, an extensive gin and wine list.

The Rowbarge, has been serving the needs of travellers and locals alike for hundreds of years, but we re-opened the doors after a comprehensive refurbishment in 2012. The pub has been through a number of incarnations over the last 25 years, but it feels now like it has come back to its roots as a truly characterful traditional pub. There are six different rooms with nooks and crannies aplenty, six different cask ales on tap, a decent wine list and a shelf crammed with malts. And most important of all, you’ll find a warm welcome from a friendly crew who’ll enjoy looking after you.

A reminder! If you have some of these 'Meal Tickets', they are valid until Thursday 19th November so start looking in your pockets and at the bottom of your handbag!
Six of these tickets can be exchanged for £12 off a main meal or light bite, Monday to Thursday, and if you happen to have some of the current green tokens,they can be used together🙂

Still time to come on our walk tomorrow, just head to our website to book 🥾

The Step and Smile Society

Love a chat? Fancy a stroll? Bring your dog or your friends and join us for The Step and Smile Society.

It’s all about getting out in the fresh air, enjoying the countryside and having a good chat along the way. Our walks are friendly and relaxed, so come along to stretch your legs, catch up with familiar faces or perhaps meet a few new ones.

We’ll meet at the Rowbarge at 10.30am before setting off on a circular walk lasting around an hour. Afterwards, we’ll head back to the pub for a hot drink by the fire.

The walks are free to join, but we’d appreciate it if you could book using the link below so we have an idea of numbers.

Dogs are very welcome too, so don’t forget your four-legged walking companion.

Christmas Wreath Making with Petal & Peony, spaces still available 🎄

As much as some of us don’t want to admit it, Christmas is just around the corner and the festive checklist has begun – tree, wrapping paper, chocolate... and, of course, the Christmas wreath.

This year, we’ll be joined by Petal & Peony, who’ll be bringing along plenty of local foliage and guiding you through creating your very own Christmas wreath to take home and hang proudly on your door.

We have five dates to choose from:

Thursday 26th November
Monday 30th November
Wednesday 2nd December
Tuesday 8th December
Thursday 10th December

Please arrive from 6.45pm, ready for the workshop to begin at 7pm.

The evening will take place under our heated marquee so please make sure you wrap up warm.

Tickets are £70 per person and include all the materials and guidance you’ll need to create your wreath, a glass of mulled w**e (or an alternative) and warm mince pies.

Come join this great event at the Rowbarge on Tuesday 13th October, 7:00–9:30pm for a fun and relaxed Paint & Sip evening creating your very own sunflower masterpiece.
Never painted before? Perfect! You don’t need to be Van Gogh to give it a go! 😉 We’ll guide you step by step, so grab a drink, pick up a brush and enjoy an evening filled with colour, creativity and plenty of laughs. 🎨🥂
